People close to former President Trump made preliminary overtures to Robert F. Kennedy about the possibility of serving as his running mate, The Post has learned.
“Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature,” said one person familiar with the matter, adding that it was “right out of the box when Bobby announced” in April 2023 he was running for president.
“Anything’s possible. I wouldn’t write it off by any means,” the insider continued.

I have no illusions about the Kennedy clan or RFK Jr.
I do not worship any of them.
However our enemies are very powerful and if we have someone who says all the right things and then caves in when the going gets tough (hello Mike Pence) we have nothing.
Good point.
Yes, for a disease that was harmful only to the elderly and the morbidly obese.
Shutting down the country, shutting down the schools, shuttering a million small businesses, printing trillions of dollars in aid (half of which would be stolen) and forcing a vaccine that 99% of the population didn't need was entirely on our leaders, including the man at the very top.
You can forget it if you'd like. I'm not going to whose signature was on all of it.

Mmmmmm.......too predictable. Trump needs to go nuclear.
Trump won’t pick another Deep Stater for veep.
IMHO Trump is far too enamored of celebrities for his own good and for ours. I specifically think of his promoting Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Oz was a disaster for sure.
That said President Trump likes breaking the rules.
RFK Jr. breaks all of them.
No, no, and NO!No, no, and NO!So many better choices...
* Kari Lake
* Kristi Noem
* Elise Stefanik
* MTG
Too many women.
Too much drama.
Too emotional.
Lack of simple logical thinking.
All proven facts.
I don’t know where you’re getting the “pseudo conservative” piece of your formulation from. He’s a left wing kook. To have him as VP to any GOO President, let alone an elderly one, is insane
Only if Biden steps down and endorses Michelle Obama.
A Trump/Kennedy would be preferable to Michelle.
Otherwise, nominate a STRONG CONSERVATIVE fighter.
Kennedy and Trump agree on 90%, BUT here’s where they DON’T - Thus concern
1) Kennedy supports abortion up the birth
2) Kennedy has indicated support for Reparations
3) Kennedy has indicated support for some illegal amnesty
BUT, Kennedy has said we need a secure border (which Biden occasionally says that too).
DeSantis shutdown Florida. He didn't have to.
DeSantis quarantined travelers into Florida.
DeSantis praised Fauci.
Stop with the DeSantis BS.
What would you think about Sarah Huckabee Sanders?
The problem that President Trump has is timing.
He needs a VP pick ASAP as life insurance and delegate insurance.
The Democrats can pull a Mikey switcheroo very late in the game.
A disaster. RFK, Jr., is neither MAGA nor a traditional conservative. To protect Trump and MAGA from assassination and removal via lawfare, Trump’s VP has to be more MAGA than he is. His enemies need to be hoping that his VP won’t succeed him.
“Study shows a drink before bed can cause reductions in REM sleep”
He’s nuts. If Trump going to pick a Democrat, Tulsi is 100 times better, and PERFECTLY lines up with his foreign police instincts (which, to put it simply, means ‘no need for World War 3’).
Any supposed conservative that thinks it would be okay to let the House of Kennedy get near the levers of national power should seek psychiatric treatment. And that includes Team Trump.
