If you support “open primaries”, you support the idea that two and only two political parties are legitimate, and that anyone outside of the Overton window from Left-Democrat to Right-Republican sho;uld be ignored - or worse.
The problem with this is that 60% of Americans are off the reservation. The system exists to prevent the majority from taking control.

Trump opened the eyes of Americans in so many ways. Until Trump came along the Political Party totally supported the President who was a member of its party. From 2016 to now the GOP has for the most part opposed its standard bearer.
