On record is the key phrase. Temp records only go back about 150 years or so.

Most people hear this and think, "oh, forever."

I believe they caught the rigging the outcomes again. Moved the temp recorders to hotter areas to get the data they want.

Something like .6 degrees above the last record, which I believe was about 10 years ago. Statistically insignificant.
