Why we still have brutal cold snaps even as the planet warms to record levels
CNN ^ | Mon January 15, 2024 | Laura Paddison

After a summer of record-breaking heat, vast swaths of the United States are now grappling with extreme cold as a brutal Arctic blast brings snow squalls, deadly ice and life-threatening wind chills.

As unprecedented heat makes way for cold, it can provide fuel for climate-change deniers who point to freezing temperatures as evidence that global warming is overstated.

But scientists are clear: cold extremes will still occur even as winters warm overall.

Global heat records outpace cold records — 2023 was the hottest year on record by a huge margin. And even as the US struggles to cope with intense bursts of heavy snow now, over the long term, the human-caused climate crisis has led to an alarming trend of disappearing snow in the Northern Hemisphere.

Some scientists say that climate change may even be playing a role in these icy blasts, as warming in the Arctic increases the likelihood that frigid, polar air can sweep southwards.

None of these stories matter any more. The message to the climate cultists needs to be: “We will not allow you to use climate hysteria to usher in authoritarian control of every aspect of our lives. You will be resisted by any means necessary.” Needs to be said loudly and frequently.

On record is the key phrase. Temp records only go back about 150 years or so.

Most people hear this and think, "oh, forever."

2023 was the hottest year on record by a huge margin.

No. No it wasn't.

No matter how many times the media repeat this, it still remains untrue.

The truth is that the raw thermometer readings show that there is no warming trend the corresponds to the rise in CO2 in last few decades. The 1930s were hotter than it is today.

So why does the media and some "scientists" keep saying otherwise? Because their theory failed. It was falsified. It died. The Empirical evidence killed it. But they were unhappy with this so they invented a form of Necromancy called adjust the records to "correct them". And boom now the "record" is adjusted to fit their theory.

However, in reality, the warming was on paper, not on the planet.

The Climate Alarmists never mention the massive volcanic eruptions that pumped billions of tons of vapor and ash into the upper atmosphere. Vapor and ash have a dictatorial influence on our atmosphere by effecting sunlight and the temps of the atmosphere, ergo, rain and snow fall.
An example is the Tong Volcano pumped 58 billion tons of vapor and ash into the upper atmosphere thus having a direct weather effect of rainfall, snowfall, winds and temps. It will take years for the vapor and ash to fall out of the air and the wx to settle down. Besides the Jan 15,2022 Tonga there were two other volcanoes that erupted make a grand total of 100 billion tons of material floating in the atmosphere. Scientists say that the single Tonga volcano literally shook the entire earth and was the most severe in over 1200 years.

if it is cold = weather

if it is hot = proof of global warming

I hate the left.

There was a "Little Ice Age" in Britain (and Europe) from the 14th to 19th century. The Thames froze over, and they held fairs on it.

If it gets colder it must be global warming.

so the earth is not really warming

the cold air is just moving around

but as we all know

the science is settled

everything that happens is due to man made global warming

“ 2023 was the hottest year on record by a huge margin”

I believe they caught the rigging the outcomes again. Moved the temp recorders to hotter areas to get the data they want.
