I think you’re allowed to be on capitol grounds.
Many people who have been arrested had included in their “crimes“ something about being on Capitol grounds without authorization. The organization that got permits for the roads to be closed, the stage to be erected etc. probably did not include permission to be on the Capitol grounds. Who knew that it was required.
What might be considered Capitol grounds go a long distance from the Capitol building. It looks like two very long blocks in each direction. Were there fences around that outer perimeter? I have no idea how far out a person could’ve been standing and still have been considered committing a crime. Democrats are just so evil
When I used to live in the Peoples Republic of Maryland I went to downtown DC many many times. A person could walk very close to the Capitol with no problem. I wonder when it became a “crime“ to be on the Capitol grounds.
