Former President Donald Trump is now at the “go to any lengths necessary” stage of his public career to get attention. To wit? He just posted a satirical version of Paul Harvey’s famous “So God Made a Farmer” video in which HE is the subject.
And yes, it’s just as creepy and a messianic bit of messaging that will cause many to cringe but others to fall to their knees in supplication.
The former president shared the video on his Truth Social account and was included in a slew of “joking but not joking” and over-the-top political videos for which Trump is known.
Read the full text of the video:
And on June 14th, 1946, God looked down on his plan Paradise, and said, I need a caretaker. So God gave us Trump.
God said, I need somebody willing to get up before dawn. Fix this country. Work all day. Fight the Marxists. Eat supper. Then go to the Oval Office and stay past midnight. And a meeting of the heads of state. So God made Trump.
I need somebody with arms strong enough to wrestle the deep state, and yet gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild. Somebody to ruffle the feathers. Tame the cantankerous World Economic Forum. Come home hungry. Have to wait until the First Lady is done with lunch with friends. Then tell the ladies to be sure and come back real soon and mean it. So God gave us Trump.
I need somebody who can shape an ax but wield a sword. Who had the courage to step foot in North Korea? Who can make money from the tar of the sand turned liquid to gold? Who understands the difference between tariffs and inflation? We’ll finish this 40 hour week by Tuesday noon, but then put in another 72 hours. So God made Trump.
God had to have somebody willing to go into the den of vipers. Call out the fake news for their tongues as sharp as serpents. The poison of vipers is on their lips. And yet. Stop. So God made Trump.
God said, I need somebody who will be strong and courageous, who will not be afraid or terrified of the wolves when they attack a man who cares for the flock. A shepherd to mankind who will never leave nor forsake them. I need the most diligent worker to follow the path and remain strong in faith and know the belief of God and country. Somebody who is willing to drill, bring back manufacturing and American jobs. Farm the lands. Secure our borders. Build our military. Fight the system all day and finish a hard weeks. Work by attending church on Sunday. And then his oldest son turns and says, God, let’s make America great again, dad. Let’s build back a country to be the envy of the world again. So God made Trump.
Yes, whether it’s “humor” or not, it’s creepy. Almost like when Mrs. DeSantis posted the same thing about her husband. But Trump posted it about himself. I can’t believe right-wing voters support this guy.
Are you a left wing voter?
That's obvious, but acknowledging them means nothing, unless you desire to make some meaning there that doesn't exist.
But I venture to guess you still support Ron.
Has Reno89519 denounced DeSantis yet? Has he labeled Ron as being creepy & a messianic bit of messaging, or is he still supporting Ron?
Ah, so you are justifying the one whose wife did the work for him, but Trump retweeting it himself is an unforgivable sin. Have I go t that right. Never-Trumper Deep State stooge? See a doctor for your severe case of TDS. hypocrite.
Ron isn’t going to win the nomination, much less win the presidency.
Thank God, we do need President Trump 2024/47.
Duh. He wasn’t married then.
Did God use Clinton? Or Obama? Or Biden?
If I were Trump, I would have kept that video under wraps, just for home viewing. Makes him look nutty to play it.
I told you guys in 2016...
LOL! Whatever!
I think Trump is the anti-Christ...who knew he would have orange hair...
Reminds me of the story about the woman in sorrow and the Priest.
The woman came into the church to try and find some comfort. She had lost everything and had almost given up all hope. She didn’t see anyone else in the church, so she approached the crucifix. There stood for a bit and contemplated the recent events in her life, finally dropping to her knees and praying to God to help her believe she would make it through this terrifying period in her life. She asked God to just put his arm around her and comfort her. She just wanted some warmth and support.
In the next instant she thought she felt an arm wrap around her shoulders. For a few seconds she drew in the warmth and love from that hug.
Then she heard a voice quietly say, “I am with you”.
Startled, she turned around and discovered that the voice and the hug had come from the Priest of the Church who had been just around the corner and sensed her need for comfort.
She said, “oh father, you surprised me. I had asked God to put his arm around me and give me comfort. T thought it was him for a second. But it wasn’t, it was you”.
The priest just smiled at her and said “Whose arm did you think he would use?”
So did Claudine Gay write both this and DeSantis’s “on the eighth day” add? Both campaigns could do without this one.
Yeah, refuse to even offer up the truth, that way you can’t be identified as a hypocrite. Such a weasel maneuver to CYA.
Let's all worship at the altar of Saint Trump
hmmm...could be. It’s not the Holy Spirit as He is a necessary component to our life on earth. I’ve recently been thinking the restrainer is law and order (which we’re clearly seeing evidence of now). You can see what happens to society when laws aren’t implemented and/or followed.
Noticed the same thing! King of the Pansy Brigade!
I can assure you that God very much cares who we vote for and what we stand for. You think He turns a blind eye to people advocating for, approving of or committing baby killing? Desecrating marriage? Pretending boys can be girls and vice versa? I don’t
He didn’t send them, he allowed them. Just like he allowed Satan to torment Job
