Officials attempting to transport migrants from the southern border to New York City appear to have found a workaround to an executive order aimed at limiting the number of asylum seekers in the Big Apple.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Wednesday issued an executive order placing limits for on how migrants arrive in the city, The New York Times reported. It was an attempt to push back against Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's efforts to send asylum seekers to the city.
However, Politico reported Sunday that buses of migrants had arrived at various New Jersey train stations. The migrants then took trains to the New York City, Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy's office said.
Adams' executive order stipulated fines, jail time, and the possible impounding of buses. It did not address travel via trains.

Each migrant that follows the US software program to get here, or just walks across the former border gets a $5,000 gift card, a cell phone, and many other treats paid for by US citizens. Their transportation via bus or plane to location of their choice is also taxpayer funded.

People keep using the word “invasion” as a kind of little jokey. You capitalized it, which to me means to you consider that it might be an actual invasion of war.
There’s a very good chance that it is. Not just people looking for a better life, but true enemies of the United States.
If people took that possibility seriously, we might have a better chance at stopping it.
I no longer consider the line between Mexico and the US as a border. Borders are respected, and defended.

That still takes far too long and is too expensive. A better option would be to charter the ship for just a couple days, transport the migrants to the nearest port to NYC that can dock it, then use the ship to shuttle them between the two nearby ports.
