Democratic strategist Paul Begala said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Source” that former President Donald Trump’s Christmas Truth Social post saying his opponents should “rot in hell” is “blasphemy.”
Begala said, “He wants to be a dictator. He says just for a day, but let’s see. I think the way Democrats and Republicans running against him respond to this is important. I don’t think they should pearl clutch. they need to turn this against him.”
He continued, “It’s like this comment about Christmas, telling people to rot in hell, you know I am a Christian, that’s blasphemy.”

There are 364 other days he can tell them to rot in hell................
Don’t you love how atheists are always telling Christians what the Bible says.
“Stroke of the pen. Law of the Land. Kinda cool.” ~ Paul Begala, AKA “The Forehead”
Whatever.
There is not a person on earth so forgiving as to be able to speak peaceably about people who have viciously pursued them and their family and all associates, with the full forces of law and bureaucracy, relentlessly, for 8 years — based on nothing. Full stop. Nothing. Oh, I forgot hatred, so I guess it’s based on that.
So I’m going to say there are 8 years worth of blasphemy against everything holy that has been visited on Trump. Blasphemy, not against Trump; he’s a mere mortal. Blasphemy against everything holy.
Blasphemy? How?
As long as Trump is telling vermin like you to rot in hell Begala, I can overlook it. You can rot in hell. You do not deserve kindness.
Well they are already in Washington DC. So it’s a moot point.
Trump says what real Americans scream at their tv on a daily basis - not as “colorful” as he says it, perhaps.
And has Paul Begala come out and condemned the people protesting on Christmas against the Jewish people and calling for their death? No? Didn’t think so....
I didn’t think CNN hired Christians.
I think Trump’s frustration boiled over. It was the wrong day for it that’s true but that little rat Begala lacks the moral currency to call anyone out.
Begala on a power trip.
Begalice is a hack, and not a very good one at that...............
Calling Satin’s spore Begala vermin is a compliment.
“telling people to rot in hell”
The correct phrase is “Burn in hell.”
Years ago, Begala, I believe, came on FR trying to win hearts and minds. We engaged in polite conversation, wherein I asked several pointed, well researched questions and gave him my personal email to reply.
What I got was a word salad of nothingness.
I posted my email and his reply on FR.
It did not go well for him. FReepers tore it apart.
The Clinton White House stopped trying to win hearts and minds.
Yes. There is nothing blasphemous about wishing that evil people rot in hell. That’s how Christianity works. Begala, et. al., are scared.
ps
Thou shall not bear false witness is one of the Ten Commandments. Begala and his ilk do it all day long.
