The military of 100 years ago doesn’t compare with today. Respect Russia, as you would want to be respected. If having military assets in Cuba was unacceptable, then so is having military assets near Russia.
Liberals and socialism are no difference. There is not a single liberal who doesn’t believe in socialism. The world has changed. Conservatives and libertarians are the classic liberals. The modern liberal wants socialism and would kill to have it.

We had no issue with the Soviets having general assets in Cuba; we had an issue with the Soviets installing OFFENSIVE nuclear missiles in Cuba with the range to strike some 90% of the continental US. In any event, EVERY country which borders another country has military assets of some kind near that other country. So, again, your comment is meaningless.

Which says a lot about you. While you may not like those respective mindsets and ideologies, they are not in and of themselves the same. I have no problem with TRUE liberals (i.e., classic liberals), as it was classic liberalism that influenced and motivated many of our founding fathers. Hell, our constitution (not yours, as you are not an American) was based on classic liberalism.
