The war would not have happened if we paid attention to Russia’s concerns at the time. Now it’s too late. It might have met land sways and whatever. If what I say didn’t work, then we could have had our war.

No one has been threatening Russia. But Russia is — and has been for centuries — an insecure and paranoid country that sees an existential threat from all and sundry.
But such a country, possessing the world’s largest nuclear arsenal, is a threat to not only its neighbors, but to everyone else, as well. Russia needs to drop its bullheaded paranoia and become a good neighbor.
