I spend about $35000 a year on travel and other expenses. I’m excited when my bills are under $25 because I don’t need a receipt.

I'm for giving Congress a base salary of $1,000,000 and then subtracting $1000 from their salary for every bill that they pass.

(Alternatively, paying them $1,000,000 and requiring that they and their staff spend at least 12 hours a day playing golf. Or anything to keep them from passing more laws.)

They just gave themselves a raise about 2 yrs ago, FFS! So now they’ll make close to $350,000 for 2-1/2 days of work. They helped to create the inflation we’re all struggling with and then claim they need a raise because of that same inflation they voted for! Meanwhile most of the little ppl haven’t gotten raises in yrs and many of us have seen our jobs disappear. My opinion of them couldn’t get much lower.
