I m so glad that you caught the very first line of that posting , specifically: “The effect of the covid vaccine on gut microbes in the gastrointestinal tract (an unpublished medical report, therefore no peer review yet “ ) (Emphasis mine)

In my previous post, I explained in a lot of detail several reasons why this is an unpublished observation which will remain unpublished. I use the word "observation" not report, since there is currently no evidence a report exists. I actually don't even know if an observation exists.

As far as I can tell, Dr. Hazan is a gastroenterologist who has experience in gut microbiome research. Specifically, she examines gut microbiome diversity using molecular biology techniques. She actually did publish a paper with other researchers hypothesizing that loss of Bifidobacterium and other bacteria genera prior to or during Covid infection leads to more severe Covid disease.

Lost microbes of COVID-19: Bifidobacterium, Faecalibacterium depletion and decreased microbiome diversity associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection severity. [This paper is behind a paywall, meaning that I can't actually read it to see their methodology, the exact mechanisms they propose for gut microbiome disruption, etc.]

This does not make the claim that Covid vaccines lead to loss of Bifidobacterium plausible. Vaccines and pathogens have vastly different mechanisms of action in the body. Vaccines are passive while pathogens actively attack and damage the body. Both cause the immune system to activate. The immune system can't tell the difference between an antigen or an actual pathogen. The adaptive immune response--production of T-cells, B-cells, and antibodies--is the same either way.

What this means is that every adverse effect following vaccination is caused by the immune system's normal function, not the passive vaccine. It actually does mean that the immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 can target microbes of the gut microbiome if they have proteins with areas of homology to spike protein. But that is not what Dr. Hazan allegedly said to The Epoch Times. The claim was that vaccine directly causes depletion of just one out of the over 1,000 bacterial species of the gut microbiome. And that claim is biologically implausible. Maybe Dr. Hazan does, in fact, have evidence that antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein do cross-react with certain bacterial antigens--but that would just be another example of how a serious immune-mediated consequence of viral infection is sometimes observed in mild form following vaccination.

The purpose of this post was to provide general information about the covid vaccine...

No. The purpose of the blog piece published in The Epoch Times has nothing to do with providing vaccine information. Its intent is to use big words and scientific concepts that take an advanced education to understand to scare people--specifically conservatives--into refusing to get vaccinated. I noticed early on that conservatives were being specifically targeted by the antivax/anti-science professional charlatan community with this rhetoric. Prior to the pandemic, there was not such a concerted effort to target medical misinformation at people because of their politics, but now there is. The reasons would be to discredit Trump, to discredit conservativism by painting us as a bunch of ignorant kooks and to get us to die off so that there aren't enough of us to vote and prevent socialists from winning the elections. The medical misinformation campaign against conservatives is a resounding success for the charlatans. We've lost elections that should have been slam-dunks (goodbye, second Trump term). And Republicans are dying from Covid at a significantly higher rate than Democrats, which became more pronounced when vaccines became available: in an analysis of Covid deaths by political party in Florida and Ohio, 7.7% more Republicans are likely to die than Democrats in Florida and Ohio. Excess Death Rates for Republican and Democratic Registered Voters in Florida and Ohio During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Other studies have shown similar results.

...and not to 'nit pick' the observation of a supposedly 'safe and effective' biologic injection, which replaces the human natural immune system.

Wow, replacement of the entire human immune system. That's a new one on me. Biologically, it's hard to even fathom how one would go about replacing the human immune system. It's called a "system" because it has so many components which are entwined with so many organs and tissues throughout the body. Exterior surfaces of your body, especially the mucus membranes, contain enzymes that are intended to kill any foreign RNA and DNA that might land on your body (usually in the form of pathogens, but even naked DNA and RNA can float in the air). Your blood contains a complex network of interacting proteins called "complement" which have some antimicrobial activity on their own, but serve primarily to augment the activity of antibodies. The lymphatic system exists to remove foreign particles from the blood and deposit them in the lymph nodes. Those foreign particles include bacteria, viruses, and vaccine components such as recombinant antigens or mRNA encapsulated within nanolipid microsomes. The lymph nodes are responsible for the adaptive immune response; they analyze those foreign particles and develop a targeted T-cell, B-cell, and antibody response. This is not a complete list of immune system components.

And a simple vaccine is going to replace all of that? How? With what?

An observation nothing more than an invitation to further inquiry, in this case, a medical inquiry into whether or not the covid vaccine impacts on the human gut biome

In both of your examples, the scientists involved built on existing knowledge and scientific theory in order to advance the knowledge in their respective fields.

Louis Pasteur, for example, had a body of microbial research reaching back 200 years to draw on. He was able to develop the process of pasteurization because he already knew that heat kills microbes. His goal was to develop a process to heat kill pathogens in milk while preserving the flavor (since boiled milk tastes terrible). Similarly, he used the body of existing knowledge compiled by generations of scientists to develop the rabies vaccine. By his time, the smallpox vaccine was decades old, so he was already well aware of how vaccines work.

The situation was similar with Pierre and Marie Curie. While they did not discover radiation--the credit for that goes to Wilhelm Roentgen, who discovered it completely by accident when he was studying uranium ore--they did build considerably on this discovery. And, unfortunately, poisoned themselves with radiation in the process (at the time, no one knew the dangers of radiation).

The fact that Dr. Hazan is trying to sell stuff is, in fact, a red flag, regardless of the blog authorship. Charlatans commonly post real and fake scientific studies on their websites in order to convince people to buy what they have for sale. Joseph Mercola, for example, is a notorious charlatan who has built a snake oil empire based on all kinds of ludicrous medical claims posted on his website. He has attained a net worth of over $100 million dollars just by scamming people. [How much net worth do you think a scientist like me has? Hint: it's not close to even a million dollars.] The bottom line is that I am highly suspicious whenever I see that someone is trying to sell stuff.

That must mean that even with Big Pharma paying you by the word, they’re still getting ripped off.

All those years as a government PhD and you couldn’t even save a million?

Dingbat.
