In America, owning a gun is a constitutional right. Here in Israel, owning a gun is a privilege. We have no constitution here.

Just to be clear, in the United States, the right to keep and bear arms (not just guns) is an inalienable right.
The Second Amendment states that the government shall not infringe on that inalienable right.
Actually, to avoid giving the commies a chance to pervert the terms meaning, owning a weapon is a natural right the constitution expressly forbids the government from interfering with (infringing).
The federal constitution, being a contract between the states who created the federal government, and their creature the federal government, is a limited powers document, severely limiting what the federal government is allowed to do. Too many citizens over the past century have failed to grasp they have to hold the federal government to the clearly defined limits set forth in the contract.
