I think nominating one of those three for the remainder of the term may just make them a lock for next November’s election. Of course if he has a true dislike for someone like Shitt, he just may nominate Porter or Lee.
Porter’s Orange County district is hardly a Rat stronghold, she barely won in 2022. I think that will be a Republican pick up in 2024, especially if she runs for Senate, as she will be vacating her Congressional seat to do so. If she sees the writing on the wall that she has no shot at Senate and runs again for Congress I think she still gets beat. She won’t be able to run away from Bidenomics.

I saw the democrats talk about Feinstein on TV. When I first started watching it in the news I thought they were talking about Mother Teresa. So I assume that the Pope will be declaring her a saint soon.
