Georgia Senate GOP Caucus Ousts Senator for Trying to Remove Fani Willis from Office
Breitbart ^ | 9/28/23 | WENDELL HUSEBØ

The Georgia Senate Republican caucus voted on Thursday to remove State Sen. Colton Moore from the caucus for taking a first step in August to defund, investigate, and possibly impeach Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who levied 13 counts against former President Donald Trump.

In a letter to Gov. Brian Kemp (R), Moore announced an initiative in August to begin an emergency session to conduct a thorough investigation into the actions undertaken by Willis. An emergency legislative special session can come about two ways in Georgia: The governor can call an emergency session, or one can be called if 3/5 of both legislative chambers sign a letter demanding it.

Kemp and State Senate Republicans apparently oppose working to investigate, defund, and impeach Willis, and instead ousted Moore. “Today’s removal is a direct result of me calling on my Republican colleagues in the Senate to do their job and sign onto an emergency session to investigate Fani Willis,” Colton said in a statement exclusively obtained by Breitbart News:

The Georgia Constitution clearly outlines the legislature’s power to call an emergency session to investigate a judicial officer. After urging my Republican Senate colleagues to join me — they responded by acting like children and throwing me out of the caucus.

I stand by my Republican principles. I stand by the Republican platform. I will continue to serve as a Republican Senator from the great state of Georgia. Unfortunately, now I will be forced to refer to my colleagues, who ran on being “Trump conservatives,” as the RINO caucus. The people of Georgia are 100 percent with me. This is the fight of our lifetime, and I will continue to double down to defend the rule of law and do what is right.

Who's surprised. Kemp and Raffensperger and their minions in the legislature will allow no opposition to them.

The guilty verdicts for Trump in GA have been written. It’s just a matter of time before he’s punished.

The problem isn’t GA, it’s Atlanta. I wouldn’t live within 50 miles of the place. My Rep is Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of the most conservative in Congress.

Kind of reminds me of Texas republicans trying to impeach Paxton using fake trumped up charges. Are republican voters that stupid to elect these crooks? Sad! No wonder republican voters have no one representing them.

If Atlanta runs the GA Senate republicans then you have more problems than you think. This move touched every district in the state with a republican senator. It doesn't matter who voted yay/nay, they were all involved and none put a stop to it. Georgia (I'm a native) is solid republican blue! Good going homies.

The Cartels lost a shit load of money when Trump was President, the border was CLOSED the Wall was being built at breakneck speed, they pulled out all the stops and installed Biden, now the drugs are flowing freely and so is the PAYOFF CASH. The Money will continue to flow in Big Numbers to keep Trump from being President again. So anything goes to keep the money flowing.

Georgia law specifically says a Qualification Commission has the duty of investigating Prosecutors with the power to punish or remove. Now whether or not the Commission will ever do anything is another question, but GA laws says the power to do something lies with the Commission.

That same machine put down a bill that a state senator put forth to reduce the money laudnering...I mean the film tax credit....from $1,500,000,000 a year/every year, to a measly $900,000,000. Kemp and his crew were having spasms over that one.

It’s amazing to me how so many are fooled by this clown. At least with Abrams, the Republicans in the legislature would have to put up a fight. With Kemp all they do is rollover.

The really sad thing is, he’s dumber than a box of rocks. Corrupt to the core and just a puppet, but dumb. Hell, just watch his ridiculous 2A political ad from 2018 and you’ll see what I mean.

But in Georgia, to win an election you need to bring up 3 topics....Guns, low taxes, GO DAWGS...talk about those three things and you’re likely to win.

As a fellow resident, I’ll have to politely disagree.

It’s not Atlanta that ousted this guy. It’s the frat boy/sorostitutes/Establishment/Chamber of Commerce/Country Club/Lake Oconnee/Sea Island/Ansley Golf Club/Piedmeont Driving Club/St Simon’s/Lake Lanier/North Fulton/Buckhead/Reynolds Plantation...Republicans that did this and are helping Kemp destroy this state.

They are the ones that seem to always get in on a good deal. Odd. What most don’t know is that they’re the ones that have all the inside dirt on all the new big developments, etc, go to their buddy at the local, county bank, snatch up some land and then sell it to Walmart, Rivian, the Rowen Project, movie studios. All done behind closed doors before anyone knows what’s going on.

Example....1500 acre, outdoor, action sequence studio in Newton County....Of course the local Chamber of Commerce and County Commission knew NOTHING about it.

This is what Georgia gets when they had a chance to get rid of Kemp, Raffensberger and Carr.

They chose not to. For all those that voted for those 3 corrupt POSs, enjoy the sh*t sandwich you made for yourself and everyone else.

Kemp and his crew have 3 more years to absolutely destroy this state and destroy it, they will. All with the help of the POS RINOs in the state legislature.
