WASHINGTON, Sept 28 (Reuters) - U.S. Army Private Travis King faces an uncertain future following his arrival at a U.S. military base in Texas on Thursday after being expelled from North Korea.
A U.S. military flight carrying King, who in July made a surprise dash across the heavily militarized Korean border, landed at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston at about 0530 GMT, a U.S. defense official told Reuters. Television footage showed a group of people leaving a plane at the base at that time.
A Pentagon spokesperson, Bryce Dubee, said King was at the base's Brooke Army Medical Center. "The Army’s focus right now is on ensuring the soldier’s well-being and privacy. His status will be addressed at a later time by the chain of command,” Dubee added. King was expected to be examined at the center, where basketball star Brittney Griner was treated in December after a prisoner swap with Russia ended her 10 months in Russian detention.

The U.S. government has said he would undergo a evaluation then a reintegration process so he can be reunited with his family.
WHAT? He should be reunited with a dark prison cell!
It was unclear if King will face disciplinary action by the U.S. Army, which has treated his case with care. It has so far not called him a deserter, even though he crossed the border without authorization while on active duty.
Skin pigmentation apparently has privilege.
He was facing disciplinary action when he deserted.
Intelligence will have questions for King since we don’t get a lot of ‘human intelligence’ from “Rocket Man Land”.
Biden will give him the Medal of Freedom.
“U.S. Army Private Travis King faces an uncertain future...”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
...as to which Congressional seat he will run for as a Democrat in 2024.
DD.
Hope he enjoys his time in Leavenworth.
How much money did Brandon handed to North Korea to secure his release?
One more charge and spec added to the sheet. UA or desertion doesn’t really matter at this point.
How pathetic do you have to be, when even North Korea is unwilling to accept you as a military defector?
When I first heard about this when he bolted, I was thinking “Oh man... they are going to milk that kid for every anti-US word they can squeeze from him.”... but naw... it was “Put this imbecile back into the hands of the enemy where he can do the most damage!”
Travis is Black. Nothing will happen to him
The Biden regime will Kiss His Black Ass and leave him be
I agree.
> after being expelled from North Korea <
Expelled? Yeah, right. I wonder how much Biden paid to get this deserter back.
Is that why he ran into N Korea? To escape discipline? Nobody does discipline like the Norks. 😆
Wasn’t this guy wanted by the South Korean police for a criminal act occurred in that country???
Skin pigmentation trumps everything. As in everything, including murder. But that is what happens when criminals are put in positions of leadership. But as the old saying goes, “every black cloud has a silver lining.” The silver lining of this dark black cloud is, Donald Trump is gone. The price of fuel has doubled. The price of groceries have doubled. But on the bright side , no more mean tweets. And if you think things are bad now. Wait until next year.
Says something about the NORKORS, even they didn’t want the POS. Now it’s time to try him and put him in jail with a DD. Unfortunately, he’ll probably have a sit down with demented Joe and treated like a hero.
He was originally supposed to fly out of Seoul after being taken to the airport on Monday, officials have said. Back in Texas, he was set to face a “pending administrative separation actions for foreign conviction,” one U.S. official has said. He had been in detention for more than a month after an altercation with locals, according to an official.
