Yes. It goes further back than Clinton to Nixon/Kissinger, Carter and then Clinton who really solidified it, egregiously mouthing Chicom talking points as US President in Shanghai.
It was under Clinton that our tech companies began building the Chicom Great Firewall and what has come to be their techno totalitarian system, which having been dressed rehearsed there is being implemented here slowly but surely.

If China really does start to go under then don’t be surprised if they suddenly invade Siberia to retake it and distract the public from their complaints.
Seriously, they stand almost zero chance of successfully invading Taiwan and for what? A smoldering ruin and worldwide trade embargoes?
But there’s just no downside to invading and reconquering Siberia. It used to be theirs anyway so no one is going to complain about it, it won’t hurt trade, and it will make the people at home happier with the regime.
