Marshall McLuhan alleged that Alexis de Toqueville counterpoised Freedom against Equality. (There’s some corroboration for that interpretation in Vol. 2 of “Democracy in America.)

Thank you for this post. Thomas Sowell is a great man, and I’m glad he’s still publishing books at age 93.

I’m convinced that Thomas Sowell and John Maxwell are in a competition on who can write the most books in one lifetime. LOL

Sowell has a brilliant mind and is maybe the most ignored, most publicly unrecgnized, most brilliant intellectual of our day.
Why is so ignored, so publicly unrecgnized? Because long ago he left the Left’s intellectual plantation, which put him on the blacklist of most of the mainstream media.

Thomas Sowell a Stanford Never-Trump token black.
Victor Davis Hanson is the only one from Stanford that saw the light and came to his senses about Trump.
BTW the lowlifes from Stanford that were recommended to Trump were back stabbing bastard plants.

I liked Walter E. Williams more. He was funny. Talked about his wife.

I loved the way he always talked about having the right to sell his kidney if he wanted to.

I wish I could have taken a class in economics from Dr. Sowell. He can explain things that the mainstream economists either do not understand or choose to obscure.
