The number of RAF combat aircraft is so low they would be wiped out by 'attrition' if Britain went to war with Putin as Russia has more than 20 times more aircraft and our fleet is smaller than European allies

The RAF's fleet of combat aircraft is so small it would be wiped out if Britain went to war against Vladimir Putin, according to a parliamentary report.

There are so few Typhoon jets and F-35s that the fleet could not withstand the 'levels of attrition' that would occur.

The UK has just 169 frontline jets to Russia's 1,500 and, after repeated post-Cold War cutbacks, our fleet is also smaller than that of our European allies.

“The UK has just 169 frontline jets to Russia’s 1,500...”

LOL. As if the UK would ever be facing Russia alone.

In the real world, NATO fights together, and NATO’s combined air power dwarfs Russia by a large margin, and is of higher quality as well.

I don’t know what it’s like now, but back in 2011 it was reported that the UK had more generals than battle-ready tanks.

On the plus side, that means every tank could be commanded not by a sergeant or a lieutenant, but by a general.

” NATO’s combined air power”

...is currently grounded at a 50% or higher rate in most cases. Toss in some high flight hours and those wizard aircraft stay grounded.

Col MacGregor makes this point often. During WWII, America had four, 4 star generals. Today there are more than 40.

NATO is dying on the vine (a good thing). Many here just sit by their phone waiting for 1980 to call.

It's as if they just voted for Reagan, and the Cold War was on the front pages of the newspaper.

As long as Uncle Sap is footing the bill for your defense, nothing to worry about.

How many pilots does Russia have? I’ve said it before....

During my brief visit to Sochi, I didn’t see a single military age Russian man who wasn’t drunk by noon. Not saying Russia isn’t a threat, especially with the weak beta feminists running the western world. All Putin would have to do is activate the illegal violent third world invaders already on our own soil.

Yeah, and the US spends more on defense than the rest of NATO combined and then some. In the real world, the US would be defending the rest of NATO, which adds little to our own defense. The US has been providing the security umbrella for the rest of Europe for 75 years.

Whereas Russia's planes have crashed, been shot down by the Ukrainians, have their wings loaded with tires to reduce damage due to Ukrainian drones, or are rusting away on some tarmac in the Siberian wastes.
