The great news for Trump is that most Republican primaries operate under this winner-takes-all rule, where the candidate with the most votes takes all the delegates.

The terrible news for Trump is that "primaries" have no legal or constitutional existence, they are set up by private organizations (the RNC, in this case) who can change the rules at any time up to or after the convention, and who, in the case of the RNC, have no intention of Trump being the nominee.
