If I survived getting shot in the head, I would not be spending the last 20 years of my life trying to get the shooter out of jail. But that’s just me.
I remember the shooting pretty well. ABC News (the only network available in Santa Barbara at the time) was just getting ready to leave the election coverage when the shots occurred off camera. When cameras got into the kitchen, someone was shouting, “Break his thumb Rosey! Break his thumb!” Rosey Greer, a football player, had his huge had around Sirhan’s hand that was holding the revolver.
That said, I guess there could have been a second shooter, but Sirhan Sirhan definitely was a shooter and was captured with a gun in his hand.

Cops later took the passageway door and ceiling panels, all with bullet holes in them so no one could tally the number of shots fired. The post above naming a security cop leading RFK through the passage way is a very likely suspect. And there are questions about Sirhan Sirhan being a “Manchurian candidate”.
