Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy shared a list of what he called 10 truths to social media Thursday, with references to faith, gender, and capitalism.
Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur who is seeking the Republican nomination, shared the ideals on X, starting with, "God is real" and "There are only two genders" — the latter being a contentious claim by those on the Left.
The list also promotes the importance of fossil fuels, condemns "reverse racism," defends the role of parents in choosing their own children's education, and boasts the U.S. Constitution as the "strongest guarantor of freedoms in history."
While many voters may have started the 2024 presidential campaign unfamiliar with Ramaswamy, some polls have the rising Silicon Valley star in the top three among GOP candidates, behind former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
"TRUTH," Ramaswamy said in all-caps, starting the post on X.
His list followed:
TRUTH
1. God is real.
2. There are two genders.
3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
4. Reverse racism is racism.
5. An open border is no border.
6. Parents determine the education of their children.
7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
8. Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.
9. There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.
10. The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.

Yes, nobody questions that, but that’s not the concern of some FReeper.
The constitution requires the President to be a NATURAL BORN citizen. That term, NATURAL BORN, has been controversial ever since Obama ran for President.
Even if his parents weren’t citizens at the time doesn’t automatically make Vivek an anchor baby. They very likely were already on a path to naturalization on their own through their employers.
Vivek’s parents came here LEGALLY and as far as I know, were upstanding residents, both well educated with good jobs, law abiding, paid their taxes, and taught their children to love America and her constitution.
America would be a better country with immigrants like these.
I agree with you. People harp on the NBC issue for two reasons - to disqualify someone they already do not like for other reasons, and secondly to show off their “deep” understanding of the constitution which ironically doesn’t say what an NBC is.
Watch the video again and see how he refers to religion. Same as King Charles when he talked about his “mother’s faith”. He’s the head of the Church of England, he is suppose to have the same faith.

I find this statement to be an overgeneralization. How many politicians in congress acknowledge the God of Abraham as the one true God, yet LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH WITHOUT SHAME?
I believe that Hindus are WRONG in their beliefs about God, but I’ve dealt with more honest Hindus than people who say they’re Christians.

Vivek DID NOT SAY he was going to pardon Biden. He said he would be *open* to considering pardons for members of the Biden family “in the interest of moving the nation forward.”
Here are his exact words:

That’s not a promise to pardon, but to EVALUATE the pros and cons of a pardon. Let’s not put words in his mouth that he did not say.

Fair enough and you have a point. Yes, there are non-Christians that are capable of telling the truth, including Hindus. But... I already don't trust this particular Hindu and as a Christian, I tend to distrust ANY politician that is not a Christian. If that is how he put it, then I stand corrected and your point is made somewhat. But.... we both know that there's no way in HELL that, if it was left up to us... that we would choose to pardon the Bidens ...no matter what other changes had been made to government... because the Bidens are guilty of high treason and other crimes against America... don't we? I know it, at least... even if you don't.

Right now I’m torn. I’m a bit disenchanted with Trump, even though I figure he’s the only one that could get enough votes to beat the rats... and even though the crap he’s being put through is also directed at everyone on the right side of politics and religion, which ‘really’ pisses me off even more at the DS leftist Democrats.
And despite the 24/7 campaign to destroy DeSantis, I still think DeSantis would be a decent alternative to Trump, “”if”” he could get the votes... which is looking pretty unrealistic and unlikely right now.

Of course everyone wants a faultless, wise, Christian leader. That’s why I asked who you had in mind. Unless we can identify such a person and that person actually runs for president, we have no choice but to choose from what God, in his wisdom has provided for us.
Pardoning the Bidens would be a hard case to make and could depend on many factors like giving up who & how extensive is their network of associates. SloJoe and family had 40+ years selling access to the “Big Guy”. I imagine his network of “customers and enablers” stretch from Delaware through DC to the West Coast. Just lopping off the top solves only the immediate problem. So, saying an automatic inflexible “No” to pardons is not always smart!
Note we did eventually pardon WWII traitors, they certainly were no where near completing their sentences and we did it with virtually no conditions. We did it because we are a compassionate nation so doing so is not unheard of.

The charge regarding Vivek’s mom altering a drug study to make Vivek’s Alzheimer’s drug sound like it works - and make him rich, is a SERIOUS charge that IF TRUE, makes him and his mom liable for criminal prosecution for FRAUD.
I need a reliable link for this serious accusation. It deserves a separate FR Discussion thread on its own.
