Gearing up for the fall of fiat, and the rise of PMs...

Mr Wonderful said today regional banks would be reduced from 4600 to about 2000. What are the implications? Just bigger major banks?

This is located in the far southwest corner of Kansas, right above where the Texas and Oklahoma borders meet Kansas. Its about 8 or 9 miles from Colorado. Pretty rural. County voted 83% republican in the last election.

Sharing losses.

How does the FDIC assume losses? What money?

Banks fail all the time.

This is not like the others. It is tiny and middle America.

One data point is not a trend.

Government regulators were saying that 12 years ago, too, though.

It’s in their insurance fund.

It’s covered to the listed limits.

Banking and finance is outside of circle of competence.

That said, numerous issues don’t make sense to me.
CRE, people not working, all time CC debt high, nearing a low in personal savings, logistics, shipping, etc.
Numerous issues seem to be growing, but what do I know.

See European banking system. Only a few large banks. Easier to control the peasants when they don’t have any choices for moving their money.
