Excuses. And I’ve traveled most of the border, throughout southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. From Brownsville to Tijuana. You are correct some areas are problematic to secure. There are multiple ways, but most of it can be secured with a wall, water buoys like Abbott is doing, and other means where necessary. The point is to secure that 2000 miles from Brownsville to Tijuana. Trump failed, I don’t see any likelihood have him succeeding on a second try, maybe DeSantis will fail, but I would like to see him take a shot at it. He’s been successful at everything. He’s done so far.

Trump did not fail. That was not the task he undertook and the effort you suggest could never have been accomplished in 4 years with the level of pushback. You ignore the years nothing was accomplished until Trump. I do not even agree that what you have outlined needs to be done to secure the border. Certainly it would be a ten year plan.

DeSantis accomplished nothing in Congress. He has a few successes in Florida. There is already pushback and only time will tell whether the actions he has taken will succeed. Many other issues are not being addressed. He is leaving his constituents in midterm. He is not at all proven on the National or International stage. He is certainly not successful at “all he has done”. I don’t understand your hero worship of an imperfect and self absorbed politician.

>>”Trump failed [at building the wall] I don’t see any likelihood have him succeeding on a second try”.

You don’t see Trump finishing it in a second try? What intelligent reason can you possibly have for taking such a position? He built just under 500 miles in his first term with severe headwinds, and has made finishing it in a second term, one of his main promises. It will be easier to do in a second term, not harder.

>>Mmaybe DeSantis will fail, but I would like to see him take a shot at it. He’s been successful at everything. He’s done so far.

Leaving aside for the moment that he’s never had to face the problems he would be facing as President, before and never had to deal with the resistance of Congress and the deep state in general before, he’s been successful at everything? How about stopping the homeowner’s insurance crisis Florida’s now experiencing? He called a special legislative session last year to try and deal with it and yet the problem has only gotten worse. Success? Hardly. How about his feud with Disney? Has he gotten Disney to bend to his will? I’m not seeing it. Success? No. Stalemate at best. And most of the problems he’d be facing as President would be more difficult than those.
