A big lump sum payment with a reduced child support payment makes sense. Mom gets paid and Biden can publicize the $5K monthly payment to show he’s a responsible adult. $5K a month is enough to appear generous. Most child support payments are very much smaller. Everybody shuts up and the big guy doesn’t have to deal with it during the election.
