A maintenance worker for the former president recounted helping to move boxes into a storage room a day before a Justice Department official came seeking the return of classified material.
The day before a key meeting last year between a lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and officials seeking the return of classified documents in Mr. Trump’s possession, a maintenance worker at the former president’s private club saw an aide moving boxes into a storage room, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The maintenance worker offered to help the aide — Walt Nauta, who was Mr. Trump’s valet in the White House — move the boxes and ended up lending him a hand. But the worker had no idea what was inside the boxes, the person familiar with the matter said. The maintenance worker has shared that account with federal prosecutors, the person said.
The worker’s account is potentially significant to prosecutors as they piece together details of how Mr. Trump handled sensitive documents he took with him from the White House upon leaving office and whether he obstructed efforts by the Justice Department and the National Archives to retrieve them.
Mr. Trump was found to have been keeping some of the documents in the storage room where Mr. Nauta and the maintenance worker were moving boxes on the day before the Justice Department’s top counterintelligence official, Jay Bratt, traveled to Mar-a-Lago last June to seek the return of any government materials being held by the former president.

While President, the President has authority to classify and declassify. (There is a specific exception re declassification of nuclear secrets.)

So, I guess the documents the maintenance guy moved just couldn’t have been Mar a Lago business records with nothing to do with the Presidency?

This is what happened.
Hillary home brew, illegal servers were penetrated by Foreign countries. They hatched with the agencies - that Trump did it, and Trump was a Russian agent.
Some state or outside agency found Biden had Intelligence briefings Biden stole and stored them at about four different places. And Hunter’s emails had things gleaned from Classified Briefings. Are they going to raid Joe? They raided Trump by going to a Judge that previously stated he had animus towards Trump.
When you can’t find laws broken that the Investigation stated where the very laws being investigated (Violation of Espionage Act) - you use Obstruction of Justice to get somebody.
Biden held and then released a $1 Billion dollars to get a Ukraine Prosecutor Fired, in an act unprecedented in History.
If that’s not Obstruction of Justice, I don’t know what is.
The entire matter could have been handled administratively, between the NARA and former President Trump.
But Biden’s careless and multiple storage sites for Obama-Biden era documents, compelled the Dept. of Justice to place a spotlight upon Trump, rather than on Biden.

That is a recommendation, not a law. That’s what agencies are to do, the President can and does declassify at will, and a Federal Judge on a Bill Clinton case said that “sole, at will” power carries on after a President is out of office for Docs during his administration.
There are numerous pictures of Biden holding Clasified Docs outside a SCIF and the guy next to him is holding a cell phone.
Media has reported in the VP days that Joe Biden did Media Interviews with Classified Docs, open and strewn about his desk. Biden had no power to remove them from a SCIF.
I think the Rose Law Firm billing records were in those boxes.
Also hundreds of documents related to the Whitewater thing that McDougall “concocted”.

CNN and CBS reported Joe actually had Classified Intelligence Briefings and Assessments for Ukraine and Iran that apply to National Security.
That’s CNN and CBS, folks.
Just like Russia, they made it Trump’s issue, and they went way out of Procedure to get that Trump Hating Judge to approve.
If they were doing something proper, no reason to go out of their way to depart from the regular Judges that sign off.
