I'm sure DeSantis will pardon Trump if he's convicted on Federal classfied documents theft, insurection conspiracy, etc. - even with the Italian racial slur Trump has smeared DeSantis with repeatedly.

As for state crimes, I believe Trump is on his own there without the ability to get pardoned except by Governors of the states where he is, or will be charged.

I really hope Trump has a good retirement from politics. I liked lower tax rates, energy independence, and no trans in the military. Let's hope Ron can get the deep state under control; which is what Trump failed miserably at.

Meatball has the political hacks, Trump has the voters.

Well, obviously Trump was stupid. Every one but Trump knew that Obama was going to have the US agencies of the FBI/CIA/DOJ scheme to remove the next President. And everyone but Trump would obviously have known that all the people he would hire were in on the plan to take him out. Certainly everyone here knew instantly, at the very moment we heard the names of his hires, these people were going to double cross him.

Anyone here, even though we have never worked in Washington DC, would have known not to trust the ones Trump was hiring.

Trump was just too stupid to know all this/sarc

That about right?

It’s like talking to a brick wall with Trump supporters.

The electoral math isn’t there. Between Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, he has to win two. Not happening.

Good front man, but it's the players behind him that really matter...
as if these people don't think we can see them.
Real nice effort on the popularity play.
He and his team played the media well.
All of that FREE advertising for months as the tough, counter foil.
All he did was sign the bills the legislature passed and who got little recognition.
He knew from which way the wind always blew in this play.

Overall, a boring play.

...a contender with a depth of policy proven by what he's accomplished at the state level, and a leader who "does what he says."

A carefully crafted contender.

You miss-spelt “moron” when you chose your screen name - so it’s hard to take your posts seriously.

Ron won’t even win Florida.

This would explain all the backstabbing while he was President.

It’s LAUGHABLE how many on this board WHINE about Trump’s choice of personnel. The whiners probably claim to be conservative if that term has an ounce of meaning in 2023. How many on the board were celebrating in 2016 when Trump chose Jeff Sessions, a guy who may have had the most solid “conservative” credentials in anyone in congress?

I, too, thought Trump hit it out of the park when he chose that little fella to be his AG. How wrong were all of us who cheered that appointment! Whether you call it Swamp, Deep State, or Uniparty, Little Jeff showed his true loyalty when he chose to recuse himself WITHOUT even conferring with Trump or doing the honorable thing of offering his resignation.

Sessions was an insider enough to know THEN what has been
VERIFIED in the Durham report which was this was an ORCHESTRATED attempt to remove Trump and the leader of the orchestra was named as Obama by Durham.

I’m not sure if Trump chose badly or his choices to pick from were mostly bad. I thought the Freedom Caucus boys Mulvaney and Meadows would serve Trump well. They were mostly disappointing.

Speaking of Freedom Caucus boys, so was Ron.

A new poll out from Richard Baris shows that Trump is undoubtedly in the lead in the 2024 presidential race in the Rust Belt states. Trump leads the GOP primary field with 67.5 percent, and DeSantis comes in a distant second at 17.1 percent.

Trump also leads President Biden in the poll, showing that likely voters prefer Trump to Biden 46.9 to 38.1 percent. Among those likely voters who were polled, 7.5 percent say they would opt for a third party candidate, and 7.4 percent are not yet decided.

If DeSantis were to be the nominee, according to likely voters, Biden would take the lead in that context. Rust Belt voters polled said that they preferred Biden to Florida's anti-woke governor DeSantis, 38.3 percent to 33.9 percent. In that case, more than 13 percent would opt for a third party while 14.4 percent stated they were undecided.

Unless the fraud of the 2020 election is mitigated, Ron has as much chance of becoming president as I do. None.

Whoop de doo! I suspect then that most of these administration officials were those working against Trump during his years as President. At least he should know who not to hire for his next administration. If elected he should hire no one that has spent years in D.C. and been a part of the machine, and then turned on him. Instead, he should bring true patriots on board as he begins cutting the bureaucratic fat. He can start by firing everyone in the DOJ and FBI and putting General Flynn in charge of the hiring for those agencies.

I sense a pattern emerging for the Fox digital editor, Brandon Gillespie!

five days ago:

17 May: Fox News: Brandon Gillespie: Team DeSantis throws shade at Trump following endorsements from 99 Florida lawmakers: ‘Almost universal’
Trump said in April his ‘support is almost universal in Florida’
