All voting should be done on election day only, with no same day registration, on paper ballots, with a 100% photo ID check against current voter rolls, and a finger dipped in an ink or dye that will wear off after a week.

It’s amazing that prior to electronic voting machines, votes could be counted and tabulated so the public could know the results by 11:00 p.m. on election night. Now, the results from some elections are not known for weeks.
Also, electronic voting machines make it possible for dishonest poll workers to just insert a number of votes for their preferred candidate and without a proper audit procedure in place, those totals are just accepted as factual.
We need to return to paper ballots and one day voting. We could make it a national holiday and have more polling stations available. Do the purple finger proof of voting and require a valid picture id be presented prior to being given a ballot. No “drop boxes” or mail-in ballot sent to all voters would be allowed.
Absentee voting would be allowed only for military, the disabled or very elderly, and provable valid reasons. Yes, away from home for college could be a reason, but penalties for voting in two state’s elections, should be punished by ten years in prison. The same for voting if you are not an American citizen.
Such a change would allow more secure elections and a return of trust that the elections are not tainted by fraud.

The irony is that Dominion is an old-fashioned name for Canada that was once exemplified by the name of our national holiday, Dominion Day, which the Liberals replaced with Canada Day during the reign of Trudeau I. Nowadays if you use the term Dominion Day or fly the old “red ensign” flag you are seen as a reactionary or closet white supremacist. I was surprised this company chose the out-of-favor name Dominion when it was founded in Toronto of all places (the most Trudeaupian of cities in Canada).
Maybe they will rebrand as Canada Voting Systems to follow the trend. Again an irony, the voting system in Canadian federal elections is old-fashioned paper ballots counted in front of numerous witnesses from all parties in the contest. As a result, allegations of voter fraud in Canada are very few and far between (at the federal level, when voting machines or phone in systems were used for party leadership ballots, there were allegations of abuse).
If you want to fix your system, you need to go to the paper ballot system especially in certain areas where fraud has always been an issue. And allow all parties into the counting process. I consider it a matter of honor, to preserve an open voting system, to ensure that the will of the people is done on election day. It is a profound crime and dishonor to do otherwise. And I have no doubt that the voting patterns in 2020 showed considerable evidence of fraud.
