Trump remains the most favorable GOP contender, as 78 percent view him favorably, compared to 20 percent who do not. He is down one point from the 79 percent who viewed him favorably last week.
While DeSantis boasts the second highest favorability of all those listed in the survey, 66 percent, it reflects a six-point decrease from the 72 percent who viewed him favorably last week and a seven-point decrease from the 73 percent who viewed him favorably the week prior. In other words, he has experienced a seven-point drop in the last two weeks.
While former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley experienced a boost last week, jumping from 48 percent to 54 percent, she has gone back down, with 47 percent viewing her favorably this week. Nineteen percent say they have never heard of her — still a significant shift from the 29 percent who said they had never heard of her two weeks ago.
Anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy has 44 percent viewing him favorably, while 30 percent say they have never heard of him. This puts him more in line with Sen. Tim Scott, who is expected to announce a presidential run next week. Thirty-seven percent have a favorable view of the senator, while 32 percent say they have never heard of him.
The survey also shows Trump continuing to dominate in the hypothetical primary race, leading DeSantis — his closest potential challenger — 61 percent to 18 percent. This reflects a difference of 43 points.
2024 National Republican Primary:
Trump 61% (+43)
DeSantis 18%
Pence 6%
Haley 4%
Ramaswamy 4%
Cheney 2%

We’re stupid if we’re going to vote for Trump in the primaries. It’s not fair but his name is toxic. So America will never vote for him again. We have to deal with that and proceed.
That’s why these polls are coming out.
Gee Liz is really doing well
Bwahahahaha
You are backing the losing candidate
Please show us the polling stats that show DeSantis has a better shot at beating Biden. You can’t. Why don’t you deal with the fact that tens of millions of Republicans, many of whom don’t participate in the conservative blogosphere, are overwhelmingly in the Trump camp. Do you consider them stupid too?
I like DeSantis and think he is a great governor. I think he should continue the great work he is doing in Florida and sit out this presidential race. TRUMP is our ONLY hope of getting out of the morass we’re in with anything resembling the Republic we inherited. Trump now has the experience and the sense of the treacherous landscape in Washington. With all that is coming out in the Congressional hearings, The Durham Report, Biden investigations, etc., it is TRUMP’S TURN.
Donald Trump was the best Republican candidate in a generation. His Presidency left something to be desired, particularly after the Covid disaster (which almost every US politician save say Thomas Massie is complicit in), but it took a Herculean effort, and standard Democrat fraud on an unprecedented scale to “defeat” him. While he left much to be desired, it is more likely that a career outsider burned by deference to institutions on a second run through will be more disruptive than a careerist politico recently enriched by his donors. Many, myself included, would never vote for Ron DeSantis- will always look to these DeSantians with the same level of contempt I have for Slava Ulkraine scum- perhaps this is unfair, but I can’t say I much care.

I guarantee that if RDS becomes president, he will pivot to get along with the establishment because this is what politicians do to survive, and he is a consummate politician. If that’s what some voters want, it’s their choice, but I and many others can’t support someone like this. So if RDS becomes president, it may seem like everything is OK for a little while, no more “mean tweets,” but it will turn into business as usual very quickly. If he fights the establishment as he should, they will come after him as hard as they’ve come after Trump, and he will crumple like a cheap suit.
How will you feel when Trump is denied bail?
Did you see the Democrats back Hillaey again in 2020 after she lost in 2016? No. They wanted to win. So that's why they went with Joe Biden even though they're not crazy about him. But the Democrats voted for Biden and that is all it mattered.
“How will you feel when Trump is denied bail?”
IF Trump is denied bail (which is highly unlikely), most of us will be furious and ready to hit the streets. You, on the other hand, will be laughing and celebrating, and saying “I told you so”. That’s the difference between us and you. You are not on our side.
The question isn’t whether of not Trump will be the nominee. It’s how will he (or anyone not Biden) win against the same thing he was up against last time? DeSantis got rid of the corrupt election supervisors, but I haven’t heard of any similar actions taking place in the blue and purple states. This administration certainly isn’t interested in a free and fair election.
This whole Republican drama may be moot. Democrats gained two governors in 2022. That means 2 more states as potential accessories in voter fraud.
I also will never vote for DeSantis, I have been holding my nose and voting R regardless of who they were!! I NOW look at the absolute DEMISE of our republic and have realized there is not a dimes worth of difference in a Dem and a GOPe, if Trump is not the nominee I will stay home, Trump has walked the fires of hell with our utterly corrupted government AND the GOPe is just as responsible for dragging him through this!! It breaks my heart to think I have voted these bastards into office and they are complicit in trying to destroy a good man, they are complicit in locking up American citizens for J6 a false flag CREATED by the FBI, they are complicit in DESTROYING lives of innocent people that did nothing wrong except surround Trump in his administration!!! I WILL NEVER, EVER vote this way again thinking an R is the lesser of two evil THEY ARE NOT!!!
If Trump isn’t the nominee, I’m writing him in.
