Most male-to-female transgender cases are driven by autogynephilia, a man’s sense of being sexually aroused at the thought of himself as a woman, experts have argued, but trans activists are pushing back against the label and the stigma it’s associated with.
“Psychological disorders are not our fault, but when they are linked to sexuality, they can trigger negative emotions such as shame, guilt and fear. People don’t want that, so they deny the condition,” Debbie Hayton, who is transgender, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“Acknowledging the existence of autogynephilia … challenges the conceptualization of male-to-female trans as normal, ordinary women who happen to have been born in the wrong body … [It] is probably a harder sell to the general public than the fairytale version,” Dr. Ray Blanchard, who coined the term, told the DCNF.

I like that study from the 90’s more and more showing that neurotic mothers poison the minds of their boys.
anyone and everyone (even them) knows they are mentally ill, which is why they often commit suicide.
My personal theory is many trans are simply hyper sexual hetrosexuals that love women so much they want to be one.
Here is an example... if you magically woke up one morning in a woman body.. what would be the first thing you did? I am guessing most men would say play with my boobs! Now imagine you think about playing with your own boobs all the time, you might eventually start believing you are trans and meant to be a woman. When actually you are simply expressing your desire for womens bodies.
Just my persona theory.
The only ‘social construct’ that actually exists is ‘trans’, not gender. The only thing it’ll accomplish is the destruction of lives.
I really don’t get this condition AT ALL.
As a man, I want to dress as manly as I possibly can to attract the type of women who are attracted to manly men.

There’s actually very few of what you’d call mental wards. When I was a child there was nothing like the “homeless” problem downtown. The problem isn’t homelessness. It’s mental illness and drug use. The police would arrest for vagrancy and then, if a judge found the person was mentally ill, he went to an asylum. (Yes, there were lots of problems with this but probably not nearly as many as movies would have had us believe. Movies are not reality even when the pretend to be.) The end result of stopping this procedure was that all the institutions specialized in handling the mentally ill closed. They turned lose the inmates and they began living under bridges. (SO much improved. Thank you ALCU.)
The other reason there wasn’t a homeless problem was there were flop houses where you could rent a room for anywhere from pennies to dollars. These were older buildings all over downtown that had been long paid off. LBJ’s great society mowed them to the ground and replaced them with Soviet style apartment buildings and then subsidized the rent. The unsubsidized portion was too high for the average man to pay it by doing odd jobs, so those who were not mentally ill also became homeless.

It's not justifying it. Quite the contrary, it's putting a label on it (basically calling it "sexual perversion.")
Yup. Most of the ‘cuckoo nests’ were shut down in the 70’s. Vagrants were usually run out of town.
Women and girls who cross dress as men - I think - have given up on "competing" at looking nice for the opposite sex.
There's always been a lot of pressure to be attractive when you're female. With all the 'perfect' female images on the internet with which to compare themselves, women quickly realize whether they were born with natural beauty.
Rather than work hard to lose weight, explore attractive hair styles, make up and flattering fashions to improve yourself, and redouble one's efforts to socialize and find a great mate -- it's been made easy nowadays to say "I give up - let's go with I'm Bi, Trans, or asexual."
IOW, the tranny movement has allowed them to be quitters.

Admitting that its a mental problem also undermines the equally ridiculous beliefs for transracialists and transspecieists designating them for treatment also.
(Funny side note: There are words used above that are wrong because I apparently made up the spelling but the people that made up the state of being are right because they feel like it.)

I like being a man in a woman’s body...in a 1st Corinthians 7:3-4 way. LOL
That's settled science and well known.
Men are not becoming trans on nearly the scale that women and girls are becoming trans. That’s just a fact the powers at be are concealing.
