The 2022 election results appeared to enhance the ability of far-right Republicans to not only maintain their dominance in Wyoming politics, but build on it.
That grip on the GOP, however, has taken a hit. Party leaders’ actions this year appear to be a catalyst for more traditional Republicans to gain ground, and perhaps even retake party control. The return of many more moderate central committee officials in recent county elections may be a harbinger of this power shift.
More establishment conservative and moderate Republicans made a concerted effort this year to file for precinct committee seats, which in previous years were given to more hardline conservatives.
Long-time right-to-life advocate and former legislator Marti Halverson lost her spot as Lincoln County Republican chair to former treasurer Wade Hirschi, who called for more party civility and unity.
Why does he think those qualities have been missing? Perhaps it has something to do with Halverson’s call in November for an investigation of Republican Gov. Mark Gordon. The resolution was baseless nonsense, but Lincoln County Republicans helped pass a state resolution alleging Gordon is in cahoots with billionaires George Soros, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett over development of the TerraPower nuclear project near Kemmerer.

I’m dealing with it right now on the local level. The GOPes have as much concern for election integrity as the Democrats, and fight just as fair.

Can’t speak for Wyoming, but certainly getting DeSantis on board for World War 3 was a MAJOR accomplishment for the big-money GOP, as it re-isolated Trump as the only major political person in the West telling the truth about Ukraine.
Prior to last week, DeSantis, whether intended or not, was telling the world that Trump was right about Ukraine. Thankfully, for the GOP money-men and the Neocons, they were able to put an end to it.
It’s time the base of the party makes establishment Republicans “unelectable.“

The goal is to “Lose with Dignity”. You stop the patriots from messing up dignified, established, systems of good governance and get rich anyway. Win, win, win.

Yup, that’s about right. They really can’t bear any differing opinions and it’s fascinating to watch. But they call US a cult. It’s comical.
MAGA might defeat RINOs in the primaries, but as long as no-excuse-cheat-by-mail-in ballots are allowed without any signature checks, the Dem will win every time. Just ask Kari Lake.
And RINOs are fine and dandy with that.
Remember the days when the base was told they had to unite behind the RINO, otherwise the Dem would win? When the shoe is on the other foot, RINOs actually prefer Dems to win.
I don't hate Dems. They are what they are, especially the brainwashed cultists that can't be reasoned with.

The phony Republicans are certainly easier to spot now, that’s for sure. There are SO many tells.
For example, Tim Scott wants to announce for President. Remind people that he endorsed Lisa Murkowski, he’s toast. He’ll garner 2% in the primary, if that. Years ago, he would’ve moved right up to the top.

The establishment may find a way to weedle their way back into dominance but they’ll have to cheat to do it. They’ll never have the credibility they once did.
The Uniparty (R) is in all out mode to finally destroy MAGA. They and their media allies are in the process of selecting the Uniparty nominee. They have been successful in doing this every primary since Reagan, excluding the MAGA champion, Trump.
