Are you sure? They are reporting that (shooting the windows of the doors) is how she entered the school.

Ok, just a few of them should suffice to ‘instruct’ the others what good behavior should consist of.

To clarify:

"That was at the church, but the school may have had glass doors also. Many do, including the private school my wife teaches at."

That is, regarding the shooter's entry, I've only seen the vid at the church. Hale likely shot her way into the school too. I've just not seen actual video of that.

Weakness of the doors is a big deal to me, given my wife's job, and my daughter goes to the same system's high school. The next time I'm there, I'm going to take a closer look at the glass doors, as I don't know if they are a thin film laminate type or "bulletproof". At least the individual classroom doors are pretty heavy steel with a tiny window. But how tough are the locks...

Granted that if all schools are hardened, attackers can just upgrade their evil "game" too. And small private schools (like ours) are often very $$ constrained.* "Ours" has a program of visits by local LEO's, but it's a one day a week thing, and I don't know if it is randomized / stealthy.

*The high school is building a new gym, but that money came from a private donor who directed what the funds were to be used for. Seems to me the school should sit down with such donors before accepting the donation and discuss what the priorities / greatest needs are. For one thing, teachers' salaries at "ours" are awful. (Low.) Of course the money may have been from a will & unexpected, with no discussion at all.
