President Joe Biden ascended the podium Monday and joked about chocolate chip ice cream before calling for more gun control in the wake of the Nashville Christian school shooting.
He joked about ice cream with the audience in the East Room prior to shifting to talk about the Nashville school attack.
Biden said, “We know there are a number of people who did not make it, including children.”
He said, “We have to [do] more to stop gun violence. It’s ripping our communities apart, ripping at the very soul of the nation. We have to do more to protect our schools, so they aren’t turned into prison[s].”
Biden added, “The shooter, in this situation, reportedly had two ‘assault weapons’ and a pistol, two AK-47s.”
He said, “I call on Congress again to pass my ‘assault weapons’ ban. It’s about time that we begin to make more progress.”

I was SO FRICKING PISSED when I listened to this POS joke about being Jill Biden’s husband ice cream. You can tell Martha MacCallum was pissed as well. She cut away then said something about it. I like that she showed the clip to Chris Christie when she interviewed him later, and asked him about it. That clip needs to be on every feed. God, I detest that man.
It’s not that he doesn’t have sensitivity, the problem is his damaged brain.
But he gives the right people what they want:
China trade is back on unrestricted: Amazon, Walmart, GM, all your digital tech companies (HP, Dell, etc).
Big pharma has no restrictions and even though in many respects monopolistic is allowed to price gouge people again. Look at the costs of insulin, or MOST other meds... Soon Covid vaccines will cost out of pocket, so will testing...
The oligarchs, big global corporations got their war in Ukraine (they want that place in the EU and NATO), it’s an insurance policy for their investments.
So everyone that matters is happy.
The US is a everything it accuses others of being. It’s a nation with a pseudo democracy (the elections are rigged - they are manipulated massively), where you have a small handful of super rich and influential folks that either own the media outright (Jeff Bezos: Washington Post, Bill Gates MSNBC) or to whom the media is beholden too (political parties and advertising revenue). He could stumble on stage and not know where he is repeatedly, do the leg list and let one rip before a royal in the UK, poop his pants in the Vatican, incoherently go on long ramblings repeatedly, or just make stuff up/lie (assuming he knows better) and he’ll be just fine. The folks that matter like him. He gives them what they want - EVERYTHING, no exception.
