Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) for the first time on Thursday addressed a claim by former President Trump that he would be arrested in connection to an investigation into a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, calling it the creation of a “false expectation.”
Bragg, in response to demands by House Republicans to force his testimony and turn over all documents and communication on the case, wrote in a letter to Congress that such a move was an “unprecendent[ed] inquiry into a pending local prosecution.”
“The letter only came after Donald Trump created a false expectation that he would be arrested the next day and his lawyers reportedly urged you to intervene,” Bragg wrote.

Maybe it’s just me but I could SWEAR that it was the NY Times that came out with the story about imminent charges and Trump reacted to THAT story. I mean, I’m a white, Christian conservative so I’m probably wrong but it sure seems to me that’s the way things went down.

This is why you fight back and play offense! This puke wanted to league BS for the next year and a half but by doing he did Trump forced them in making moves immediately. People were complaining that DeSantis shouldn’t say anything because, “nothing happened yet”. To me that’s a horrible idea. You don’t let these phonies dictate the timing for every issue in the nation.

See, the “arrested the next day” is the thing that makes it totally false and more than mortal flesh can bear. It is next week, so therefore get off my back you crackers.

Yup. I think he WAS going to be indicted on Tuesday but it was supposed to be hush hush. Then the cat got out of the bag on Friday and Trump got ahead of their game.
Now they’re scrambling because there was no plan B, since plan A was supposed to be a complete ambush..

I think Bragg needs to comply with Congress as the DOJ and the Manhattan DA colluded. We need to know.
What’s even worse is he can’t even get a bunch of trump haters to indict that is how pathetic this case is
