Delusions are a form of psychosis.
Dysphoria, in many cases, can present a functioning psychotic, like a functioning alcoholic. That is, such afflicted persons can mostly function at work and even at home, in spite of their affliction.
However, the derangement is degenerative, and the sufferer eventually loses his grip on his functionality and things begin to fall apart around him.
This is a case in point.
