Analysis: Anchor Baby Population Far Exceeds One Year of U.S. Births
Breitbart ^ | 3/18/23 | John Binder

The total population of United States citizen children born to illegal aliens now far exceeds one year of American births, a March analysis shows.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) analysis estimates that about 5.4 million “anchor babies,” the term used to describe the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens who are awarded birthright citizenship, reside across the nation.

This indicates that the anchor baby population now exceeds the annual 3.7 million U.S. births by about 1.7 million. Put another way, the number of anchor babies in the U.S. is twice that of Chicago, Illinois’s resident population.

The last estimate of the nation’s anchor baby population came from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) in 2017, suggesting that 4.5 million anchor babies resided in the U.S. at the time.

Annually, the Center for Immigration Studies has estimated that nearly 400,000 anchor babies are born to illegal aliens, foreign tourists, foreign visa workers, and foreign students.

I heard people say, we lost the battle over illegal immigration years ago, precisely because illegal aliens children born here are American citizens. And as such, they cannot be deported, even if we ever want to get serious about illegal immigration and deport people.

anchor babies are not citizens.

those trying to say they are cite the 14th amendment.

of course, that doesn’t mean they’ve read it or the words of the author.

in the end, the amendment was not meant to allow for birthright tourism giving any foreigner free US citizenship if they squat their spawn within our borders.

the amendment states clearly that the citizenship of the child comes from the parents and the country that holds jurisdiction over them (ie: can draft them or call them for jury duty). illegals entered the US illegally and, just like a tourist on vacation, the child’s citizenship is tied to their home country.

all these anchor babies, and their families, must be deported.

We even have an alleged anchor baby as the alleged vice president.

Also Nimarata Nikki Haley and Mehmet Oz. Both are anchor babies who should be immediately deported. Don’t care if they are Republicans.

True. Children born in the US to foreign diplomats to the UN are not citizens.

Um, I’m more upset about this in general then most people but it’s an apples and oranges comparison.

The numbers show a > 9:1 ratio of native born over illegal alien born on an annual basis.

That’s still a disaster but not the end of the world.

Birthright citizenship can be retained but cleaned up with a simple clarification of the 14th Amendment to require either citizen or lawful permanent resident status of the parents.

This has been proposed in the Congress and shot down at least 4 or 5 times over the last 30 years. Trump had it as one of his planks at least informally, dont recall if it was formalized at the convention in either 2016 or 2020.

But of course with all the endless attempts to dragoon him into the nearest gulag he never quite got around to it.

That needs to change.

Hard to believe we can’t settle this in SCOTUS. Seems clear and common sense.

America as we knew it is finished, gone. America as we know it now is also going to disappear. A dystopian collapsed society is fast on the way.

Kinda now or never... one might think...

In Slaughter-House Cases (1872) and Elk v. Wilkins (1884), the Supreme Court affirmed the framers’ originally intended meaning of “jurisdiction”. In both
cases, a child born on U.S. soil, of a foreign-citizen father, is not subject to U.S. jurisdiction at birth. Such a child is subject to the jurisdiction of the
foreign government to which the child’s father owes allegiance. Consequently, such a child is not a 14th Amendment citizen at birth

Yet remember the very thought of replacement theory is evil and wrong.

Sleepy Joe said so.

I believe the automatic citizenship for anchor babies can be changed by the courts. The law being used now granting citizenship was added for freed slaves, to assure they were citizens. However, since an anchor baby is born of foreign parents illegally in the US therefore in a temporary status, a challenge to the law being used for these so called anchor babies might well find success.
