Good post.

One may ask what is the GOP doing about this egregious and abusive action against a former Republican president? Where are they? AWOL as usual.

I certainly doubt he believes what he’s saying. Just cheap conversation on his part.

Haven’t you noticed the constant drumbeat by many around here to recklessly escalate the proxy war? Bolton would be very popular among the GOP fans of the big guy’s war.

If Trump is indicted in New York County (Manhattan), he will be convicted. No Republican has carried Manhattan since 1924. In 2020, Trump lost the county by a 7:1 margin. Romney, McCain, the Bushes, and Dole did little better. A fair jury here would be impossible to find, short of a divine intervention. This would be as much a kangaroo court as the District of Columbia.

how the left will fare in April and May 2023 indicting Trump in the midst of a global financial crisis, a Ukraine war with monstrous and accelerating cumulative costs, a southern border that takes center stage again as the weather improves, a growing Hunter Biden scandal and much more.

Voter fraud is a major problem but it exists only because institutions, which should expose and prosecute criminal activity have either failed or been complicit. 2020 and 2022 proved that when a party and globalists control major media and news outlets, they control the narrative and as a result they control the hearts and minds of a vast number of citizens.

Until/Unless, Christians and conservatives gain control of our major news and media outlets and our education systems - the democrats and globalists will continue controlling America.

We have passed the tipping point. We no longer live in a republic "of the people, by the people, for the people". I wish I were wrong but I believe only a miracle, civil war or conservative states creation/secession can restore the republic envisioned by our founders.

The attempt to twist and turn inside out the justice system in order to get Trump (and his supporters) is frightening. The deep state must be even more terrified of him and them to go to such lengths.

RE: John Bolton said Saturday on CNN that if prosecutors indict President Trump but fail to convict him, he could get back in the White House.

Sigh 😮‍💨😞.

Everyone including Bolton still ASSUMES that with Mail-in voting and ballot harvesting being the norm, the elections will still reflect the will of the people …

Those days are gone.

Well, I support the Ukraine being able to defend itself.

Bolton is a hard 100.00% no from me.

He’s about as anti-Trump as it gets.

I support Ukraine being able to defend itself as well. How is spending $750 million US tax dollars a day, escalating this quagmire to a point where the danger of WWIII has never been greater over the immediate future of four meaningless (to the US) ethnic Russian oblasts UKRAINE defending ITSELF? You must also consider the fact that Russia never attacked the US or NATO. The NATO Charter does not sanction this proxy war. There is no treaty that obligated the US or NATO to be taking these actions.

Please study up on Germany’s quest for neighbor states at the
beginning of WWII. Yes, we are spending what seems like a
massive amount of money over there. And look, it is in some
ways. When comparing it to other things we spend money on,
it isn’t as much as it seems.

What would have happened if Russia had waltzed in and taken
the Ukraine in two weeks, and moved on to the next conquest,
and then the next?

Maybe we’re getting off cheap this go-round.

Maybe Russia will realize Moldova, Poland, Latvia, Estonia,
Finland, and Sweden might not be such a bright idea.

On the other hand, we may just have to confront Russia
full force if it doesn’t get the hint.

You conjure up these highly improbable nightmare scenarios about what might happen from a NATO point of view. In 1991 Reagan’s policy had defeated the Soviet Union and Comintern. With the Warsaw Pact’s demise we had achieved a balance of power, peaceful equilibrium. NATO, the unaligned buffer states and Russia. That’s what Baker, Bush, Gorbachev agreed to. Look at what has happened since. This is not what if or could be for the Russians. Imagine Mexico becoming the 30th Warsaw Pact nation (following Canada and Spain, #28 and 29). Imagine the Putin installed stooge Mexican president was successfully calling for WP armored divisions on the Rio Grande. Imagine Putin orchestrating a highly successful six year USA, USA, USA world wide campaign of lies and slanders about us. Imagine the most powerful leaders of the WP military behemoth were demanding immediate regime change in DC. That’s what Putin was facing. I challenge you to show how that analogy is not correct. We went 10,000 miles, sent 2 1/2 million troops, saw 56,000 of them die, responsible for a million plus dead locals, destroyed three countries for a decade to stop the first domino from falling. The Russians are back to the wall scrambling to keep the very last domino from falling on their border, a day’s tank ride from Moscow. If you don’t see that, there’s nothing more to really discuss.

Has the U. S. occupied any of its neighbors in the last 170
years? I think your comparison would hold more water if we
had in the last 25.

If we had, I think Mexico could be understood for joining
some group of nations for an alliance.

At the present time, we’re essentially under attack by
Mexico, not the other way around.

Why do you think nations asked to join NATO?

Sweden has been rigidly non-aligned. Even it has seen
fit to ask NATO to join.

Should NATO simply refuse any such requests?

If Russia does conquer the Ukraine, have you guys figured
out how many nations have to drop out of NATO so they
don’t get invaded?
