A rare ice sheet has formed on Emerald Bay, California, on Lake Tahoe, the first time it has been seen in over 30 years — and a sign of the cold weather in the Sierra Nevada in a season normally linked to the spring thaw.

The New York Times reported:
In March, the birds usually begin appearing in Emerald Bay, Calif., as the days get longer and the temperature creeps up, melting the snow that feeds the creeks — the first tantalizing signs of spring. But this month, the bay, on the western shores of Lake Tahoe, has instead been frigid, stark and silent.
In fact, it froze over.
It may be the first time in three decades that the bay has frozen to this extent, according to California State Parks. The last time appears to have been in the early 1990s, said Kaytlen Jackson, who works in communications for the department and who, last week, ventured down the snow-covered slopes to get to the inlet’s edge.

Everybody knows that cold weather is the strongest indication of global warming.
Communists are very good at solving imaginary problems like Weather Change.
Given the choice of “global warming or cooling”-—I’ll take globull warming ANY DAY!
I like to ski and have been to Lake Tahoe a couple of times. I sometimes keep an eye on weather and ski seasons in Tahoe. Three or four years ago, Tahoe got so much snow Heavenly did not shut down until the 4th of July. Global warming is an absolute myth.
Yup. Cold will kill you a lot quicker.

Some areas have 600+ inches of snow for the “season”. Another storm forecast for early next week. Snow loads on roofs in the Tahoe area is a concern. 😲❄🌬⛄
“Climate Change” really is a brilliant change from global warming or global cooling. The Climate does change, but the Left makes is seem like an anomaly created by man, when if fact it’s nature.
We only got what, 7 or 8 more years to enjoy cold weather before we fry?
That will cause the lake to rise....flooding all them casinos....

C’mon man, you know cold weather is caused by man made global warning.
HeavyDSparks has a utube channel where Mr Sparks and company do heavy rescues and sometimes off-the-wall stuff out of the Salt Lake City area in Utah.
Two or Three weeks ago they volunteered to help dig out people trapped by snow in the San Bernardino Mountains. As they were plowing snow and digging out peoples driveways and walks, they showed a few houses with collapsed roofs.
Thick enough for skating or iceboats?
