U.S. officials have released video that shows a Russian Su-27 fighter jet colliding with the propeller of a U.S. MQ-9 reaper drone.
The video was released by the U.S. military's European Command on Thursday, allowing the public to view the widely-reported aerial incident.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin summarized the incident Wednesday in a press conference, saying, "Two Russian jets dumped fuel on an unmanned U.S. MQ-9 aircraft conducting routine operations in international airspace. And one Russian jet intercepted and hit our MQ-9 aircraft, resulting in a crash."
Austin sharply criticized the Russian military for its actions, stating that the Black Sea incident was "a part of a pattern of aggressive and risky and unsafe actions by Russian pilots in international airspace."
Russia has previously denied that the aircraft touched one another, and accused the U.S. of unnecessarily escalating the issue.

But then, I saw a different video.
Who knows ? Something is fishy about this video and where did it originate?

The very end of the video shows one of the prop blades bent into a ‘J’ shape ...
The targeting drones show up, the HIMARS rockets quickly follow. It’s not as though the Russians don’t know who is targeting their troops and whose missiles are killing their people. The Ukes are also provided similar information from US AWACS and other aircraft such as F-35s. It’s only a matter of time before American pilots are shot down. A drone might not provide this group of DC warmongers their Uke Gulf of Tonkin. Rest assured the NATO is determined to escalate this to WWIII.
Non-pilot here. Was the fuel dump a sign that the Russian pilot expected collision? Are we basically talking about a malfunction or error with either the Russian fighter or the pilot?
So how did they get the video? Was there a second drone? A satellite?

The statement reads, “At approximately 7:03 AM (CET), one of the Russian Su-27 aircraft struck the propeller of the MQ-9, causing U.S. forces to have to bring the MQ-9 down in international waters.
Several times before the collision, the Su-27s dumped fuel on and flew in front of the MQ-9 in a reckless, environmentally unsound and unprofessional manner.
This incident demonstrates a lack of competence in addition to being unsafe and unprofessional.”
The video was fed from the drone in real time.
I was about to go back and watch it again. I’m, as yet, uncaffeinated, but the prop is bent.

Keep in mind the intelligence services just came out and said that They were going to use AI generated deep fake videos for propaganda purposes. I wouldn’t trust any video they put out even if it’s Ronald McDonald Giving a kid a hamburger
Apparently the fuel was dumped on the drone to blind it’s camera.
They were probably hoping it would ignite and destroy the aircraft.
Perhaps the Russian pilot was afraid it would make his jet explode.

Exactly. We have come to the point of when an entity lies all the time, nobody can believe anything the say or do anymore.
That isn’t our fault, it is their fault.
