I wasn’t aware that the US was involved in battle in Eastern Europe.

In order to achieve the neocon dream of US/NATO troops fighting in Ukraine, there needs to be a Maine or Lusitania incident with at least 200 dead. A fallen drone won't cut it.

We were trying to provoke this. The drone in question was armed with 8 hellfire missiles and was close enough to the coast that it could have struck Russian targets in almost no time.

The Russians didn’t shoot it down - although it probably would have been a legitimate target - but just impeded its operations.

Putin wants to expand. He wants a big Russia, like the USSR. He is like Hitler after WWI. He wants to reclaim lost glory. So do other Russian nationalists.
