I know the odds, but I have some control of my driving, I have zero over flying.
Also that stat you are referring to is a blind one that only takes into account the raw numbers, not how a driver impacts the accident rate, where those accidents occur, etc. Learn how stats work. I could likely pull up stats that show where I may drive is a lower or even 0 chance of death dependent on location and other factors. Hardly the “self own” you think it is.
Regardless I prefer to have control, it is called freedom and responsibility, try it sometime.
