Former Deputy Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Cliff Sims on Monday ripped Politico for publishing a “fake headline” that claimed the “Biden admin offers to brief Trump officials on past Chinese spy balloon incursions.”
To distract from President Joe Biden’s hesitation to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon until it crossed the continental United States, the establishment media has claimed in recent days that at least three Chinese spy balloons flew over U.S. airspace during the Trump administration.
Former Trump administration officials have denied those claims.
The Politico article from Sunday alleged the “Biden administration is willing to brief former Trump officials on newly discovered intelligence that China sent spy balloons into U.S. airspace during their time in charge.” The article used anonymous sources who allegedly “asked not to be named in order to discuss sensitive information.”
Sims stated on Twitter that Politico’s story from Sunday was false because he is in contact with “nearly everyone” who would have knowledge of a Chinese spy balloon flying over the United States during the Trump administration.
“Politico is Dems’ go-to for a fake headline,” he said. “I’m in touch with nearly everyone who’d be a logical person to receive such a briefing & no one’s been contacted. And why would they participate in Team Biden’s CYA? If y’all want us to deal with China for you, then give us a shout.”
Sims included an image in his tweet of the infamous and now discredited Politico story, written by Natasha Bertrand, which used “dozens of former intel officials” to push a false and misleading narrative about the origins of Hunter’s laptop:

In addition to anyone who might have just looked up and seen it, as so many did this week.
I can't believe they just keep piling onto this completely obvious lie in the interest of protecting the decrepit crook in the White House.
This "Administration" is just chock-full of people who went in already nervous they might be exposed as being part of a coup, and who were naturally stupid to begin with. That combination is obvious every day.

The balloon enters US airspace and is IMMEDIATELY spotted by a guy in Montana.
Yet we are supposed to believe that THREE previous balloons flew across the USA and were not spotted by anybody?

Here’s my take.
Biden lies. He’s always been a notorious plagiarizer and liar.
Politico is the media wing of the democratic party.
Politico lies.
Politico lies for Biden.
None of these additional stories about Biden wanting it shot down but was over-ruled by his generals, or it happened under Trump, or some unnamed source in the know chose to tell Politico the truth of record, because—they’re all lies.
But, you see, I’m repeating myself.
The only true thing reported was the Chinese Spy balloon flew over us, and the Biden administration didn’t do or say a damn thing until it became public.
There are thousands of commercial flights every day, and thousands of radars belonging to the US military as well as countless airfields all over the country, as well as in Canada.
If a Chinese balloon had come across our borders, it would have been spotted and the word would have gotten out.
The MSM would have been delighted to use the news to embarrass President Trump. The idea that it would have been kept a secret is as absurd as anything the Brandon administration and its media trained seals have ever tried to sell the American people.

I would think, NORAD, would have to contact the FAA and let them know, an object, like this balloon, is located in this location, so aircraft could be routed around/away from its path. There should be some kind of records of that happening. Or, at least, controllers, that remember that happening.

All lies. A Montana News Team spots the Balloon from the ground. JoeK and his merry band of criminals claims it happened three times under PDT.
There are 26 thousand flights a day and about 9 thousand planes in the air at any given time in the USA from what I Googled. These balloons takes 4 or 5 days to cross the country and yet no pilots reported see any of the three phantom flight’s?
Impossible!
