if it was a “civilian airship”, then China was required to file a flight plan before entering US airspace
since China DIDN’T do that, US authorities have every right to assume it was hostile and a threat
maybe China can explain why they didn’t bother to file a flight plan?
I’m sure it was just a civilian effort to see whether it’s sprinkling in Billings, Kansas City, or Myrtle Beach. By the way, a NOAA radiosonde weighs 500 grams, or 1.1 pounds in Freedom Units. That’s a weather balloon. What just blew by wasn’t.
