Ukraine warns Russia massing 500,000 troops on border for offensive

Ukraine is warning that Moscow is re-grouping hundred of thousands of troops on the border for a massive new offensive, just weeks before the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday gave a stark message to the West when he forecast that the Kremlin was building up its forces to take “revenge.”

“Now Russia is concentrating its forces. We all know that. It is preparing to try to take revenge, not only against Ukraine, but against a free Europe and the free world,” Zelensky said at a press conference alongside EU chief Ursula von der Leyen, as reported by Agence France-Presse.

Ukrainian defense minister Oleksii Reznikov told French media on Wednesday that Russia had 500,000 troops ready for an attack to come in weeks. That number is far higher than the 300,000 newly enlisted soldiers Russian President Vladimir Putin called up this past autumn.

Perhaps this is the “Winter offensive” we have repeatedly told was going to crush Ukraine.

500,000 troops ready for an attack to come in weeks.

Perhaps now would be a good time to start peace talks while you still have 80% of the country. Or you can keep saying no and see what happens.

It’s not our problem.

Let the Europeans deal with Russia. The have armies, they have money, and they have nukes.

Russia threatening to nuke us “isn’t our problem”? So weak. Surrendering now to nuclear blackmail now will only encourage the Chicoms, etc.

Well the CIA must be upset that they are losing American taxpayer support. I noticed just in the past two days there is this "new" organization named something like "Ukraine First" or something and they are (we are thru the CIA slush fund) buying TV ads to say how important it is to support Ukraine.

Putin is already dead, and Russia is out of missiles and men.

The Russian Army does not have the logistical support system to support an offensive with 500,000 troops. They are barely able to support their troops at the front lines now, let alone the increased requirements of an army conducting a massed offensive.

Well here’s the thing, sir.

The Russian invasion of the Ukraine was never an American problem. From the very beginning it was a problem for the Europeans to deal with, if they were so inclined. And at the beginning there were no nuclear threats from anyone or towards anyone, least of all the United States.

What this means is that an American policy of pursuing American interests remains, as it was initially, unrelated to “nuclear blackmail.”

As for Taiwan it has money, it has an army, and it has potentially powerful allies in Japan and South Korea. Though it does not have nukes — that we know of — maybe it should think about getting a few for deterrence.

If this is true, I feel so sorry for our troops. They will likely be sending them to die in Ukraine soon. I also expect there to be terrible attacks here at home when war is declared.

Anybody remember MAGA? Seems so long ago now.
