Trump Blasts Biden’s Move to Send Tanks to Ukraine, Calls for Peace Negotiations Before War ‘Spirals out of Control’

Former President Donald J. Trump called for peace negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday, describing the situation as “very dangerous, explosive, and escalating by the day,” while President Joe Biden sends 31 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine forces.

“Joe Biden’s weakness and incompetence has brought us to the brink of nuclear war, and now Biden is doing what he said ten months ago would lead to World War III: He is sending in American tanks,” Trump said in a campaign video released Wednesday.

Biden announced he approved sending the tanks to Ukraine last week and called them “the equivalent of one Ukraine battalion.”

As Breitbart News’s Sean Moran pointed out, last March, Biden opted not to supply Ukraine with 28 Soviet MiG-29s fighter jets, telling House Democrats that sending “offensive equipment,” like jets or “tanks,” would be escalating the war into an international conflict.

“The idea that we’re going to send in offensive equipment and have planes and tanks and trains going in with American pilots and American crews — just understand, don’t kid yourself, no matter what y’all say, that’s called World War III,” Biden told Democrats at the time.

Biden announced Wednesday afternoon he has approved sending 31 Abrams M1 main battle tanks to Ukraine, in an escalation of U.S. support for the war as it nears the one-year mark. https://t.co/fx60Tkga3e

After pointing out Biden’s contradictory positions from last year into this year, Trump called for deescalation and peace negotiations:

Trump then claimed that “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would have never happened if I was in the White House – not even thinkable, not even a possibility.”

“We must end this ridiculous war and demand peace in Ukraine now, before it gets worse, and believe it or not, it would be easy to do. It would be very easy to do,” the 45th president concluded.

Trump is entering very fertile political ground, and is investing in huge untapped political opportunity.

Its an investment that’s going to pay huge political dividends to him, as time will prove him correct.

It also shows the stupidity and spinelessness of the GOP that no one has claimed this territory over the last year.

Especially when we get directly entangled in this stupid war.

Unlike most of you who support Russia, I’m a Trump supporter.

Yes trump will try to force an end to this war but he certainly isn’t going to do it by letting Russia take Ukraine.

I’m sure hes going to threaten both sides and demand that they reach a reasonable settlement which means that Russia will not get everything but Ukraine will not get all of its territory back.

The biggest problem is the people around joe Biden are people who have huge egos and think they know everything, they think they can turn war on and off with like a light switch that will be able to calm things down once their goal has been achieved

Be careful what you wish for.

I think Trump really means Russia get out and Ukraine give up some land.

This will not please either side on this ongoing debate here.

I’m all for it, by the way. Why Ukraine wants to keep a hold of a people that just want to go is not crazy, but then again does anyone REALLY know what Crimeans and Donbassians actually want?

Still, end hostilities and then have a neutrally run referendum. Betcha that’s what Don is talking about.

That’s true for just about everybody, FRiend. Like Iraqis, Afgahnnis, Vietnamese, Koreas, Chinese, Japanese... and a multitude of others.

If they are fine with Gotterdamarung, what can we do?

We Americans do have a soft spot that others know how to exploit, especially through our traitorous Leftist Press. But we can be real bastards when we have to.

Trump will tell Ukraine to cede the 4 claimed oblasts plus Crimea or he will cut them off from all support of any kind.

Just like that the war is over and US essential interests are served.

Trump doesn’t care one or the other about Ukraine. He’s a career businessman and always has had very little interest in foreign affairs outside of the business ramifications of government policy. So here he’s just trying to firm up support among the Chomskyite nutball wing of the GOP for the upcoming primary battle with DeSantis.

“...last March, Biden opted not to supply Ukraine with 28 Soviet MiG-29s fighter jets, telling House Democrats that sending “offensive equipment,” like jets or “tanks,” would be escalating the war into an international conflict.”

Sure, but that was last March, before Russia decimated her military capabilities, making it impossible for them to wage an international conflict.
