He admitted the dead guy hit Rittenhouse with a skateboard first, but somehow it’s all Rittenhouse’s fault?
1. a lawyer can offer free services
2. GO FUND ME can raise any amount for Kyle.
so huber was making a citizen’s arrest?
I have a great deal of respect for most police officers. The job is difficult and most perform with professionalism. That does not mean that I would enter into a conspiracy with the police to do something illegal. Likewise, with Rittenhouse. Even if the Plaintiff portrays him as a wannabe cop, it does not mean he conspired with the police. Likewise, the Plaintiff will have to show that Rittenhouse did not act in self-defense in shooting Huber. The burden of establishing self-defense is much less than the beyond a reasonable doubt standard in a criminal trial. A fair-minded jury may be reluctant to translate Rittenhouse’s respect, affinity, for police, coupled with the multiple threats to his own life that night, into something as nefarious as a conspiracy to kill two people and injure a third. Of course, much will depend the Judge’s instructions to the jury on how to weigh the evidence presented at trial to determine if it establishes a conspiracy.
Didn’t he also grab the rifle by the barrel, and pull it toward himself?
Huber should face the fact that his son was a trouble maker and thought he could push anyone around.
Good post. It’s a stretch all right, but all it needed was a tad of traction to start the lawfare.
He did grab it.
That link only says that he tried to grab it. Really bad idea to grab someone’s firearm and pull it toward yourself.
You are correct. Sorry! I had no intention of misleading.
Looks like they found the right judge.
Rittenhouse will win. But it will cost him. And that is the point.
"protesters"??? More like assailants. They chased him. They were threatening him. The clearer video, which the Prosecutor did not want the jury to see, shows very clearly that Rittenhouse was the one being chased. He was the one being threatened.
Thanks and this is what the useless eater liberals can inflict via their stooges in our judicial system. The (judicial) process is the punishment. Having to shell out tens of thousands to lawyers. And if you do not pay out, your next ride is to prison.
When did these never-ending, money-based, lawfare “civil” suits become the norm in the USA?
America’s justice system is becoming a clogged toilet. when and how did it start?
It would have been 1 hour if the attorneys weren't charging $400/hr fees.
Sounds like Kyle needs to set his lawyers after the enemedia who wrote this article. LOADS of slander in here as evidence.
I think the unnecessary “100 hour search” phrase was inserted to create a picture in the reader’s mind of armed and exhausted process servers searching endlessly over days and nights, non-stop, hunting for an armed Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse, who was obviously deliberately evading service by elaborate plotting with evil right-wing factions moving him through the dark of night from one safe house to another, could not outrun nor hide from the persistent and well-trained hunters.
Did anyone else get that feeling?
Meanwhile, they could have probably called his prior attorney and arranged for service to have been done within hours.
Well, if the NRA and other 2A organizations have any sense they will organize a kick ass legal team to assist Rittenhouse in running a stake through the heart of these civil suits just to make an example of the lawfare lawyers.
A good legal pounding will discourage the ambulance chasers.
The title of the article also insinuates that an award in a wrongful death lawsuit has already been made and it has now been “upheld”. Instead, from what I can understand, the fact is that a lawsuit has been filed, Rittenhouse has been served, and a judge has ruled the civil matter can proceed.
I hate the corporate media!
