Democrat Senator Mark Mullet who sponsored the new bill stated “I learned from the ease of having vaccine information on your cell phone why it would make sense to also offer this option for folks when it comes to their driver’s license.”

The cop has to check your plate to do that. With digital plate, he only has to look at your plate.

You can already do this in my state but you use an app on your cell phone to snap an image of your actual license. Then you only have to have your phone if you get pulled over
