Egyptian parliament approves agreement to join the BRICS bank (BRICS becoming BRICS+++)

The vice-president of the Economic Committee of the House of Representatives, Mohamed Abdel-Hamid, affirmed that joining the institution benefits the country.

“We will benefit from the Bank’s financial and technical assistance in areas such as sustainable development, health, infrastructure, transportation, water, and telecommunications,” he said.

The addition of Egypt will also relieve the state budget of the pressure to find dollars to meet imports because members of that bank can use their national currencies in bilateral trade, he said.

Parliamentarian Ahmed El-Awadi, head of the House National Security and Defense Committee, also praised the decision: “It represents a step in the fight against the dollarization phenomenon and opens up new markets for Egypt’s agricultural and industrial products,” he said.

Legislator Mervat Mattar, stated that “the BRICS group is an important forum that can divert the course of the international economy from US and dollar dominance.” He also welcomed the Russian central bank’s decision a week ago to add the Egyptian pound to its list of foreign currencies exchangeable for rubles.

Last December, the Egyptian Council of Ministers announced its decision to join the BRICS, after a proposal by President Abdel Fatah El-Sissi.

Rooting for the end of the FED/IRS and bankstering. And NO to more fiat-based CBDC.

The US need not actually join BRICS, but could in spirit - take down the slavery-and-theft based fiat FED, and move to a PM-backed currency. The $31T in debt would go POOF!

They will never let us in Brics. Brics has a bank for members. We would steal them blind.

We applied for observation status with SCO and they refused it.

Concerning a BRICS expansion, Lavrov stated that Algeria, Argentina, and Iran had all applied, while it is already known that Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt and Afghanistan are interested, along with Indonesia, which is expected to make a formal application to join at the upcoming G20 summit in Bali.

Other likely contenders for membership include Kazakhstan, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Senegal, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. All had their Finance Ministers present at the BRICS Expansion dialogue meeting held in May.

Hence, the US could "join" Britain *in spirit* - that is do like BRICS.

End the FED. PM-backed currency.

Libya would join, but they have no leader since we sent the country into a decade long civil war…

BRICS is a bloc that is directly challenging US global dominance via the dollar. They are focusing on the simple mechanisms of US hegemony - mostly US Dollar primacy. They are slowly going after that.

We will see if it turns into a military bloc of some kind. That is very far off.

Its odd that there doesn’t seem to be much talk or panic among the DC Deep State, and neocons. I suppose because they are organizationally and financially cemented in place with their current world-view.

All of the global South is ready to leave the Western financial ponzi system and align with the alternative monetary system being put forward by China & Russia. How many coups can the CIA foment in order to stop this? Or we we just go directly into WW3 as a last ditch effort to stop it?

BRICS is why we have “Arab Spring” and the Ukraine War. BRICS scares the holy living shite out of the CIA/Neocon/City of London global debt mafia. It is direct competition to the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Bank of International Settlements. These are the peckerwoods in charge of global debt slavery in the Nazi Internationale’s police state financial empire wet dream.

According to the Bank's General Strategy, sustainable infrastructure development is at the core of NDB's operational strategy in 2017–2021, and the Bank will dedicate about two-thirds of financing commitments in its first five years to this area
