Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said he is undecided on whether he will vote to block Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) from sitting on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, expressing concern about censorship of opposing views.
“The reason I think a lot of Republicans want to kick Ilhan Omar off of the Foreign Affairs Committee is because they don’t like what she has to say,” Gaetz said on Newsmax Monday night.
“I am undecided as of tonight as to whether or not I would vote to remove Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, because it’s one thing to do dangerous things to the country with intelligence. It’s quite another to say, ‘I don’t like your viewpoint, and thus I want to remove you,’” Gaetz said. “I don’t support that with Direct TV and Newsmax. I didn’t support it when it was directed at my friend and colleague, [Rep.] Marjorie Taylor Greene [R-Ga.].”

And she kicked out an over 20-years-in-Congress Jewish woman by getting votes from all the Somalis imported into formerly safe, Scandanavian, clean, Minneapolis.

But your point about Omar being unfit to serve because she committed immigration fraud is a good one. Why should she have the honor of representing any legitimate American citizen when she shouldn’t even be here herself.

But the weasel words didn’t look like their usual baldfaced opposite-of-the-truth reporting; and the weasel words given, are very typical of the way known RINOs *do* wriggle out of commitments.
So this time I gave them more credence.

She’s gonna get on. It’s decided. There is a difference between someone being kept off (Swallwell, Schiff) for blatant betrayal of oaths, and being kept off for speech or beliefs, and many Reps are concerned their own speech will be microscoped to keep them off in the future under this precedent.
Will she be working for the USA, or Iran and other Burkastans?

Representative Greene was censored for her views.
I have yet to hear any Democratic apologies.
“Censorship of opposing views” has nothing to do with it. Given her comments and behavior she should not have access to the intelligence information that members of that committee are given.
Does this man not get this?
Gaetz has come across as a phony many times even if on paper they are the right words - like he is just saying it to placate certain audiences.
