The five Memphis police officers fired after the fatal beating of motorist Tyre Nichols have each been charged with murder, according to local reports.
The officers surrendered and were being held at the Shelby County jail, Tennessee’s Action News 5 reported Thursday.
All five will face charges of aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct, and official oppression in addition to second-degree murder.

Question: How many alleged crime victims are featured with backgrounds in articles?
People have been pushed in front of subway trains, beaten at their ATMs, grabbed while jogging and pulled into a van by a sadistic rapist or pounced on by teens while walking back from a neighborhood grocery store.
No background was provided or memories from loved ones.

One of those cops was sued for beating an inmate unconscious while he was a corrections officer.

Why would the deceased man’s record matter in the slightest to him being beaten to death by five cops?

Boston saw some pretty good riots in the summer of ‘20 if I remember correctly.
Let me guess, at roll call on that fateful day, those five officers and two firefighters drew the long straw that assigned them with taking down an innocent person, who was just minding his own business . . .
